CHristmas @ Disney, Where?

FInally have the nerve to pull the kids(DD9, DD6)out of the school during the first week of December to experience the WDW Xmas feel and DD6-7 bday. I have olny stayed @ VWL before so was taking suggestions on where to stay. We probably will do 2 of the three days @ MK. Please help make my DD6-7 Bday the best. Thanks.

Are you asking about the DVC properties or just Disney resorts? I'd say the GFout of the resorts. Maybe the VWL for DVC properties since you are doing MK so much.

We stayed at BWV last Dec and thought the decorations there were beautiful! It was also handy to visit all the countries in the WS and see their decorations.

If you will be spending most of your time at the MK, then VWL is the obvious choice but it's probably the hardest to book for that time of year.

VWL for sure - we've done it. We'll be there this year at our new home AKV! I will caution you, however, that this time of year is extremely popular with DVC owners. If you haven't yet booked it you may be out of luck or on a waitlist. If you're planning to rent from an owner, I'd start checking and have them look into availability for you NOW for your dates. If you're going through CRO you may have better luck but I'd still book it asap.

Do you have reservations somewhere? At this point, you may not have a lot to choose from. The first week of December is very popular with members and books very quickly.
