I've had a look at the New York hotel ballroom Christmas dinner, and althought the decorations look really good, I think the menu is a bit posh for my family.

Can anyone recommend a dinner on Christmas day that would be suitable for young children and Christmasy? Are there any Christmas day dinners that do entertainment for the kids too?

That meal is very expensive - we toyed with the idea of it when we went for Christmas several years ago but instead chose to go to the Lucky Nugget instead. This was in the days when it was a character buffet meal and we had a fabulous time and didn't pay silly prices for it.

You're not going to get anything that's specifically Christmassy apart from the meal at the New York but all restaurants will be decorated and there will probably be special touches for Christmas. I remember they added a turkey carvery to the Lucky Nugget buffet and we were able to buy special Christmas cocktails. Anywhere that isn't listed in the brochure as a special Christmas/New Year meal should be operating at usual prices.

Very envious of you - there's something very magical about waking up at Disney on Christmas morning!
