Christmas decorations

Hello, I am leaving for a week at the Polynesian on the 1st of January. I was curious if the Christmas decorations going to be up in the parks and hotels still? Thanks in advance.

They will still be up. Not sure when they take them down, but we were there 2 years ago and left on January 1st and they were still up.

They start on the 2nd and they come down very quickly; most overnight.

We go in every year for the marathon which is the first weekend of January and the decorations are almost all still up. Last year we left on the 16th and some where still up.

We are going on 1/2 - 1/4. I know the lights at Disney Studios will still be up but I really want to know if decorations will still be up at all the resorts. Wanted to go before Christmas but couldn't and the main reason for going is to see decorations.

Does anyone know when the resort decorations are put up? We are thinking of MVMCP next year in November and wonder if the resorts are decorated that early. DD especially wants to see the gingerbread house at the GF. Thanks!

Edited to add: Just found out that this year the gingerbread house opened on Nov 14

Generally, the Christmas deocrations start coming down on Jauary 3 and are gone by January 5.

Magic Kingdom is going to be totally decorated by around November 9, or so, depending on when the start dates for MVMCP are, and there will be various other decorations up around the other parks and some of the resorts, but everything won't be totally decked out for another week or two after that.
