::MickeyMo I am thinking about going to WDW the Sunday before Thanksgiving and leaving the day after Thanksgiving. The whole reason for the visit is to see the Christmas decorations, will they be finished and lit up by then? The first Mickey Christmas party is on 11/26 I think, so I'm hoping the decorations will be done. Anybody know for sure? Should we do the rides and shows pre-Thanksgiving Day and then do the Decoration tour Thanksgiving Day and maybe the day after. Crowds on Thanksgiving Day, bigger than Christmas/New Year week? Anybody know? :confused3 Thanks again for all the help!

 I don't know why, but the Banana makes me laugh.

I really like going Thanksgiving. The Thursday before through Tuesday you should be able to walk on everything and yes they start the decorations, but it's kind of subtle. The day before Thanksgiving through the weekend will be very busy (but I haven't been on Christmas or NYE so I can't give you a comparison). We usually stay at the Boardwalk and it is absolutely amazing how you go to sleep and don't really see much in the way of decorations and when you wake up the place is completely transformed, just amazing. I would go in a heart beat (except I really want to be there for F & W and I can't do both). Definitely do all the rides you really want to do before the day before Thanksgiving then once the crowds pounce you can relax and stroll around looking at the beautiful decorations.
