Christmas Day Parade Filming Date?

That's so cool! So, when I go (IN 5 DAYS!!!!!) Alot more should be up?

Hopefully. I know we've been seeing the Main St. Christmas tree put together in one of the storage areas (you pass it on the tram) for awhile now. I'm bummed that the tree's not real but according to some CM I know, the new tree with have fiber optics so it should look pretty cool!

How awesome! The stage for today (Well, the pictures from yesterday) show it looking amazing! I wish I could've gone and probably seem the cast of HSM!

It was the Jonas Brothers and Jose Feliciano. The Jonas Brothers sang Joy to the World. My DDs got their cell phones signed by Kevin Jonas. Lots of screaming teens!

We got there right at the end of the Jonas Bros. and saw all of Jose - it was terrific and lots of fun, but it was so hot that the kids were melting.
The parade was so far behind that we had to leave.

Thanks to the folks who posted when the filming would be for today as I sent my friends (who live near DL) and their DD was able to see the Jonas Bros and had a WONDERFUL time!

I am SO jealous that you guys got to see the Jonas Brothers today! Lucky ducks!

I think Disney did a good job in not releasing who was performing. I'm sure that minimized the crowds.

DD9 was so upset when I told her we missed the Jonas Bros by a few hours, as we headed home this morning.

Last year, we missed the cast of HSM the first Saturday that we were there and Miley Cyrus the following Saturday when we went home. I told her it was just not meant to be...hard to explain to a 9 year old!

They certainly did keep this one a secret!

We just now got home from the park. We left early this morning and were debating who we would see for the performances. My hunch was right, as we also were in the center of the audience for the JoBros today. (A friend said she had seen them in the Disney Channel building when she went to work the other day, so we knew they were in town...) Great concert - my girls loved it. We decided to cut out of the audience after the first pyrotechnics taping and called my neighbor, so her 13 yr old daughter could hear them sing live over my cel phone - made her day!

It was really hot in the crowd, but much better when you were away from it. The rest of the park was pretty empty. Pixie Hollow was running 1.5 hour waits. I took some fun pictures that I'll put up on the Picture of the Day thread.

As for celebrities, we didn't get to see Corbin Blue, but we did see Ryan Seacrest at the parade taping, one of the Disney 365? kids - doing coverage for those Disney Channel interstitials, and last but not least, saw Dennis Quaid and his wife and twins getting off the teacups. The twins looked healthy and so cute - thank goodness! That family must have gone through hell with that ordeal.

It was a great day!

I had a feeling it was going to be JB too, YMP! I read you saying a couple days ago that they were in town and I had a feeling it was going to be them.

Okay, admittedly, not a HSM fan, but all the teen-age girls were screaming and the mom next to me told me this was Corbin Blue. If it's not, feel free to tell me who it is.

Also met this young lady at City Hall. The girl in front of me said she was from iCarly. (No kids - clueless!)

All I can tell you is she was very kind to her young fans at City Hall while waiting for her turn and she was very comfortable just being a kid with her friend. It was nice to see such genuine kindness and just young-spirited fun from someone who clearly is popular with the right age group (of which I clearly do not belong).

Glad all had fun. Now all we have to do is wait for the rest of the decorations to show up! And I can't wait to hear from my nephew how it was being in his first parade.

Beleive it or not, it was actually more like 200 people total in front of them - including parents. I only saw a couple groups of screaming girls. One group got scolded by a mom-like CM for running...

I just told my dd,it is dh' birthday tomorrow and he chose to stay home this weekend, or else we would have been there. . . so she is not happy with dad right now. .

I'm listening to Ryan Seacrest now, and he's talking about how when he was doing voiceovers for the parade, he was supposed to say Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious and he couldn't say it. They played the tape of him, and he totally screwing it up. He said that he's always avoided the word, and has never been able to say it. He did finally get it, though, after about 20 times.

He said that the people who don't like him, really won't like him after hearing the tape.
