If you had a choice, would you rather spend Christmas Day or New Years Eve at Disneyland?

This is hypothetical at the moment, but I'm hoping this might be on the cards for 2014. The idea would be to do one at Disneyland and the other somewhere in the UK/Europe.

I would definitely do Christmas in Europe (you could always spend Christmas Day at DLP if you wanted to experience a Disney Christmas!), then NYE in the US. You can have a white Christmas in Europe, and it just seems so magical over there at Christmas time :goodvibes

Having said that, it is on my bucket list (along with a great many other things :rotfl:) to do Disney for Christmas.

We spent the Christmas period at Disneyland 2011. We were there from 19 Dec to 27 Dec.

Crowd wise both very busy. Like the two busiest on the calendar.

Disneyland at Christmas time is beautiful and it will still be decorated NYE.

The whole season is festive. Have also been there for 10 days straight from Thanksgiving and it even feels like Christmas then.

So to us Christmas Day didn't feel particularly different from all the other days. A very magic place to be for sure and so glad we did it, but there wasn't an escalation on the day

Disneyland do amazing New Years fireworks.

Both days they can close the parks temporarily due to large crowd numbers. Use fast passes and do things you haven't doe before or the less popular rides. On Christmas day we did not go on one ride unless you count Pirates Lair. Happy to answer specific questions.
