Christmas Day - No special event (MVMCP)

Has anyone else ever wondered why Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party stops on the 18th and isn't extended to at least Christmas day?

No because its insanely crowded. people are already paying tons to go at Christmas and they want to be gouged for more? I dont think so

I wouldn't willingly go near the parks as a guest on Xmas day, much less pay for a hard-ticket event.

No, I know why. The parks are too crowded during that time to close the park down to regular guests.

There's no way they could handle the crowds with an abbreviated MK day that week. As it is MK will likely close to capacity on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. If you added in shortened hours at the MK, the other parks would have closures as well since many would not want to "waste" a day at MK with no evening hours without a party ticket.

Same reason they don't have MVMCP during Thanksgiving week. Too crowded!

I don't like the term "money grab" but I think a Christmas Day MVMCP would qualify.

Just raise a Christmas Day admission to $300. The crowds should drop somewhat.

For the most part, you can see the Christmas entertainment you would see at the party as part of your regular admission during Christmas week. So why would you want to pay extra for something you are already getting for "free" (so to speak)? Sure, they don't give out the stale cookies and watered down cocoa you can get at the party, and there could be a few rare characters at the party that they might not bring out that week, but I'd say you're getting more than 50% of the same stuff the party people are paying extra for.

With the parks being so crowded that week, I would not want to be the one trying to get the day guests out of the park for a hard ticket event.

I don't go to the parks often during Christmas week, but when I have, and I wanted to do something special, I would book the Candlelight Processional for that day. That way, you have your Christmas dinner booked and a special holiday event to attend. With that and my three FP+ bookings, I had a fun and enjoyable day even if there were crowds around.
