I am tying to work out somesort of Dining plan for Christmas Day. Against my better judgement, we will be at MK for at least the early part of the day...not to do any rides, but just to soak up the atmosphere really. Im sure we will quickly become tired of the crowds so will probably leave early.

My thoughts are:

Option 1. Try to book CRT for breakfast (yep, a tall order, but Ive 100% success rate on these, so fancy my chances ) and then book a resort for dinner for the eveing. Options needed for which one. We have 2 kids that will be 4 and 2, so not V&As!! I was thinking maybe California Grill (too posh for littlies??).

Option 2. Same as option 1, but with the Crystal Palace brekkie if I cant get CRT. Still need options for the Resort dinner.

Option 3. Grab a very quick brekkie at the villa and book up either Crystal Palace or Liberty Tree Tavern for early lunch?? This will mean DH and I will be able to escape for a dinner for two very late evening (we have my mum along for babysitting and she only eats one meal a day. Unlike me and hubby who are greedy piglets!!). Options for a romantic meal for two?

Option 4. Forget about the Magic Kingdom on Christmas day altogether!! Inspire me with other options!!

..I'd avoid MK on xmas day like the plague, personally (although I'm not too keen on MK at 'normal' times!;) ).. it will be a lock-out by 1030-1100 am and if you leave you may not get back in... the crowds will be awful!

We did Epcot last Xmas... crowds were ok til late afternoon, and we'd had enough then. (been there since 0800)... we ate at Restaurant Akershus (Norway) and it was excellent.. unhurried, and very pleasant.

I've heard fairly good reports about Seaworld and Universal Studios on Xmas Day, too.

Whatever you decide.. remember... you're in Florida for Christmas!!!!!:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

I'm having the same problem deciding.

We've never been before at Xmas, but reading all the previous posts, we didn't fancy trying MK. I was thinking about Epcot, but I thought as an alternative we might spend some time at Seaworld and have dinner at AKL.

As we will only have Park Hopper's, I was a bit loathe to 'waste' a day at a Disney park if it was going to be full to capacity.

I don't think I've been much help here LOL:D

We've had Xmas lunch twice at Boma's at AKL. Where ever you go on Xmas day is going to be mad, at least at one of the buffet style places you can go at you're own pace and you're not relient on a stressed out and over extended waitress.

If you have to go to a park I think SW would be a pretty good choice, personally I prefer to have a more relaxed and quiet day. If you get decent weather there's really something EXTRA special about lounging about in the sun around the pool or maybe one of the waterparks while all those in the UK are hiding indoors trying to keep warm :D

We're planning on spending the morning at MK and possibly going to MGM or Epcot after lunch. We want to eat at Cinderella's Royal Table for xmas lunch, altho it might not be open so we're not sure yet. We might go over to MGM and eat at the sci-fi dine-in coz we both love it there. Hubby and I have said that even if we don't get to do any rides on Christmas Day we just want to be there to soak up the atmosphere. We're staying at Pop Century so whatever we decide, we won't have far to get back to our resort. Good luck with whatever you decide to do.

We tried to get into the MK last year on Christmas Day, it was 11am ish ;) the lines were horrendous to get in. So unless you're prepaired to get up exceptionally early or sit in traffic, I would think of somewhere else to go.
We turned around and went to MGM, it was really nice and we were surprised at how quiet it was for Christmas Day.
We did have PS's for 50's Prime Time, but after filling up with breakfast at Cape May Cafe (which I would highly recommend) we cancelled it.

Good Luck deciding.

We went to MK when we went at christmas and it was awful! (sorry, it was so crowded you couldnt move). The queues for the 'uninspiring' rides were rediculously long as well!!! So in the end we went over to MGM. We were lucky to get in there! But MK is more stress than its worth on xmas day - especially if youve got prams!!!
