We are looking for a restaurant that offers menu dining (we are not interested in a buffet) on Disney property but not within a park. Can you please help if you know of any restaurant that would be either at a resort or Downtown Disney that we can have a nice Christmas dinner without it being a buffet type restaurant? We are staying at the Pop Century but we don't want to eat at the Food Court on Christmas Day.

**Oh no..my husband just pointed out the fact that we may not be able to secure any ressies at any restaurant for Christmas day at this late date....do you think that's true? We have an autistic son that makes it impossible to wait for a long period of time. :( Any suggestions?**

Thanks in advance!

I'm afraid your husband might be right. I would go to the online dining right now and see what might be available for Christmas Day and the time frame you are looking at.

Oh my goodness, it is highly unlikely that you would get an ADR for Christmas day this late. I would call and ask if there is ANYTHING available. Then you can make a decision based on what they have. You might end up at the House of Blues or something...if anything. Good luck! :thumbsup2

Thank you for your reply...but is there anyplace you can suggest?

Ummm....haven't been here in a long time, how do I see the online dining?

Yes, thank you, I will ask my husband to call to see what there is available if anything... :sad1:

I just checked online dining, put in 3 people (I did adults because I did not know how old your child was) and put in 5:00 and it pulled up availability at these places:

Turf Club and Bar at the Saratoga Springs at 4:45 and 5:05, Saana at AKL at 5:20 and The Wave at 5:30 at The Contemporary. Good luck.

I think the Wave is pretty good. Make a ressie for a place that is available and just keep checking everyday to see what opens up, but definitely make a reservation now instead of waiting. Good luck!

Thank you KatMark & everone else for your help. I have 2 boys, ages 14 & 8 y/o...we made ressies at Kouzzina's for dinner. Has anyone been there or heard any reviews?

Wow! The food looks delish!:cool1: I'm a little surprised at the prices but we haven't eaten on property really for a long time. We just eat at our food court & then go off property for dinner to keep the costs down. We've been doing an annual Christmas Disney trip since 2000, well, give or take a year. Once we had to start paying adult prices for my older son to eat, we stopped eating at Disney restaurants because it was hard to pay $25 for a boy who only ate 3 bites of food. :sad2: I miss dining at O'Hana's in the worst way.

Anyway, thank you all so much again for your input. Great idea given about checking daily for any other place that might have a cancellation for Christmas day. We will try that too but honestly, that Kouzzina's looks wonderful & my kids ADORE calamari!

If anyone thinks of any other places, please let me know!!

Hope you all have a wonderful holiday season!

1) If you can get an ADR, make it at 5:00pm-5:30pm.
2) Or, as soon as the eatery opens.
3) Otherwise, you may wait a while to get in.
4) Even with your ADR.
5) The heavier the crowds, the longer the wait for your ADR could be.
