Hi, me and my family are visiting Disney over Christmas and are looking for Tips and Hints on Whats best to do (or not to do) over this period...

Has anyone got any suggestions for Christmas Day Dinner...

Or New Years Eve????

I notice one of the water parks is closed this time of year for refurbishment, does that mean the other is gonna be MOBED.. (crowded for non UK's)

We are there for 17 days in total obviously we have a 14 day Disney pass, Do you know if they have to be consecutive days? we plan to visit orlando for one day should this be at the beginning end or middle of our visit,.

Hi,

Here are some ideas for holiday dinners:

Yes, Typhoon Lagoon will be closed till 5 January, but you don't have to worry about Blizzard Beach being very crowded. Locals don't go to the water parks that time of year, it's not warm enough! The other thing you should know related to that is December weather is completely unpredictable. You could have warm days with cool mornings, or you could have mornings near freezing with afternoons stuck in the 40s or 50sF (or single digits C)

My family will be there then too.
Please make your ADRs soon...you don't want to find that they're filled up for Christmas Day.

My kids love character meals so that's what we're doing...
(These are at resorts, and not in a park, because due to crowd levels, we might not go to a park on these 2 days)..
**These are very popular meals.

Christmas Eve: 1900 Park Fare (Cinderella, Prince Charming, Fairy Godmother, Suzy & Perla mice)

Christmas Day breakfast: 'OHANA (Lilo, Stitch, Mickey, Pluto)
Christmas Day dinner: Chef Mickey's (Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Pluto, Goofy)

If you have children in your group & they like characters, you might want to try a character meal.

Our Christmas at WDW was the BEST! But - we wore jeans most days, wore T-shirts and carried sweatshirts - which were needed in the evening and sometimes in the morning. We FROZE the one day we went to the water park. Christmas day was totally crowded. But Christmas eve and the days leading up to it were wonderfully empty. So, we did everything we wanted to do before Christmas day and then just enjoyed the day and the crowd. Dinner at the Liberty Tree on Christmas eve was very nice, then dinner on Christmas night at Ohana watching the fireworks was awesome.

You will love it!!:santa:
