We plan to go to Epcot on Christmas Day.. published opening time 0900 I think... clearly it will be busy on this day, but has anyone who has been last or previous years got any opinion about how soon we need to be at the gates? We're not bothered about doing anything particular that day, just cruise the park until our PS later for dinner... we just want to be sure we get in!! (I'm certain that I'm worrying unnecessarily but just want to make sure!)

We plan to do Epcot for Christmas Day too. I'm not worried about crowds. We also have no set plans other than our luncheon meal. I expect that many people will not be rushing to get to the parks early on Christmas morning, esp. if Santa is visiting them overnight. -HM

If you think people will not be in the parks on Christmas, you are mistaken, according to my travel agent. The Magic Kingdom will be booked to capacity by 10 am and will close the gates. We plan to be at MK at opening so we can get in.

EPCOT may not be booked to capacity, but there will be a crowd! I would be interested to know also if any of the other parks close to capacity on Christmas Day.

It's not that I don't think there will be crowds on Christmas Day, I know there will, I'm just not going to worry about it. I also don't think there will be a larger than normal rush at 9am due to the day it is. I may be wrong, but we'll see. I just don't see Epcot being closed to visitors at 10am. -HM
