Anyone been to Seaworld on Christmas Day. We are thinking of that instead of going to a Disney Park to avoid the crowds. Also, does anyone know what Animal Kingdom or MGM is like on Christmas Day. Are they really crowded or does MK get most of the crowds?
Thanks

I would ask your Sea World question on the Sea World board here on the DIS. They would be able to tell you about crowds.

In 2002 we went to MGM on Christmas Day and it was empty half of the day at least. MK is the one that gets so packed....however, also keep in mind that in 2002 everything was less packed than it is now, so it's very likely the other parks won't seem "empty" anymore. But still, they are probably going to be much more managable and less crowded.

Christmas Day is "Magic Kingdom" for most folks.....
Animal Kingdom will be fabulously sparse that day! Go there and enjoy your day! I work there and am told by other cast members that Christmas day the crowds aren't so bad. I think especially now that so few people pay for "hopper" ticket option. They go one place and just stay for the duration.

Do keep in mind that AK closes earlier than most of the other parks....if they are ever open "LATE" it is usually only 8pm....most other days we close at either 5 or 6.

sunny04 -- we arrive on Christmas Day and hope to go to MGM for Osborne Lights and the 10 p.m. Fantasmic! after dinner at Chef Mickey's. Do you think we will be able to get in that late? TIA!

Yes I think so...I'm pretty sure that MK is the only park that closes to capacity at Christmas. The others may get busier as the day goes on, but none of the others will be packed like MK.
