Christmas Cruising 2005

We had alot of fun. It was weird just being the 2 of us. Oh and 150 HS kids!! But everyone did their own thing, so we took it nice and slow. Something we NEVER do. We'd stroll and hold hands and took our time. We knew we were going back down in November anyway. Now that is going to be a great trip!

But it wasn't without incidence! Day 1 we had a girl fall and end up in the ER and was in a wheel chair the rest of the time. Day 2 one of my girls threw up on herself as we got to HS and I had to go back to the room with her so she could change. Day 3 one of our kids had an abcessed tooth and I had to go back to the room and wait for the physician to make a house call.

The last day we lost a kid in DTD. That was scary. We left for the airport an hour late.

But hey, it was a free trip so I really can't complain. We came home with $300+ worth of meal cards for our next trip!! We figured since we didn't pay for the trip we might as well pay for our meals and save the cards for later. We had $160 between the two of us and the kids in our group gave us any left over cards they had! Sweet.

Hi guys!

We had a great time. We had a very 'low key' vacation. We're usually commandos, but Piper has changed all that. There were even a few days where we didn't go to the parks at all. Piper would have lived in the pool if it was up to her.

Here's some photos (though my DSLR is still broken, so they aren't great - go easy on me :) )

Grim good to hear from you :goodvibes

That little girl is a doll. Molly will be so excited to see her picture. I have to agree with Aisling, I'm sad we won't see and be together at NYE. But maybe another day and place.

Dede, you look great and looks like you've got this motherhood thing wrapped around your finger.

Hope you are all doing well.

Another round of Happy Bday Kayla :goodvibes

Sounds like a fun trip was had by all in spite of the "issues"

How's you like the 2-bedroom? From the photos, the villas look roomy. I thought they were done, but then saw the construction pics. Speaking of construction, I thought I was going to hate the new Contemporary building, but I think I love it now, so far. We're BIG CR fans, and would love to buy into CR DVC. When the time comes, I'll be asking you lots of questions.

2-bedroom was great. Was actually a bit smaller than BCV 2-bedroom. Our view sucked. We paid for savanah, and it was just pitiful. Hardly ever any animals. Kinda get the feeling that to disney, DVC Member = SUCKER.

The DVC rooms in the existing lodge are done, but the new building won't be done until next year.

New Contemporary (CRV/KT/BLT/whatever they're calling it this week) looks pretty cool.

Ok, back to your trip. Any Piper hilights you want to tell us about? She didn't look too happy seeing Piglet and Eeyore!

She was a lot more timid this trip. She LOVED the characters last time, but this time she was happy seeing them from about 4 feet away. We took her swimsuit with us in the parks and she loved splashing around in the water areas. The girl is a fish.
We went to the Pirate and Princess Party - good time.
She learned a new word on the trip - Nooooooo!
She always wanted to leave the room to go have some Disney fun. She'd drag me by the hand to the door and say 'bye bye!'.
We went on Small World about 30 times.

We've decided that BCV is our real home. I thought AKL was my favorite resort. We had stayed there 3 times before. Thing is - we never stayed for more than 2 nights. 8 nights makes you realize how remote everything is. We were longing to be able to walk, or take a boat, or take a monorail to a theme park. I love having all those restaurants at your disposal at BCV. There's so much to do without ever having to get on a bus. So we've decided to sell AKV. We have too many points anyway. Anyone wanna buy a slightly used timeshare?

Happy Birthday Kayla :)

Lookatchu with the long hair!

so, when ya gonna get that camera fixed and when ya going to Disney next?

Been growing it out for a year now. I'm finally past the ackward stage. Dede hates it, but I'm diggin it.

I came "THIS" close to buying a new body before the trip, but finally decided against it. I just need to put it in the mail to Canon and get it over with.
Next trip - thinking about pulling Dede out of school (heh) and going September 2009.

We're waiting for CRV, and then still not sure if we're going to buy, but it's definitely under consideration. The CR is our favorite, with thr rooms being so large and really comfortable. And of course the MK and monorail right there. We'll see.

Ok, I read about the hair (which I really like) and then you go on to say you were close to buying a new body. My brain jumped to conclusions before reading on, and I thought you were saying you were getting plastic surgery or something...new body to go with your new hair!

 Pretend he's waiving emphatically!

Hi Lynn!

Hi Grim!

I wish you good weather Lynn...and a fabulous trip East~

Hi from the Panama Canal

It was the best.

Hope you are having a blast and staying out of that darn weather.

Let us know how it was :cool1: :cool1:

I feel that I was called out to post again....you should have let it die and let me win  I never give up :rolleyes1
