Just read about Oceaneer's QUEST today...new area for 10-14 year olds!!!!! Marcus was THRILLED to hear about this, cuz that means his fav 13 year old cousin will be in club w/ him!!!! I posted a question on Beano's thread.
I,too, am enjoying the live threads...I may just have to drag that laptop along...it isn't that big...(I am enjoying my new toy...though on regular PC at home).
Tig--Timon & DH are on 15 year anniversary cruise, I thought...heck, my love is newer than that (not much....)...is she pregnant, or hoping to get?
Well, Dan balked at the March cruise...it is right in the middle of March Madness, you know (NCAA basketball tourney time). Hey, I, too, love March Madness, but travel ALWAYS trumps sports for me. (not so much for him...he must be able to SEE the sports somewhere). Which leads me to believe that a NYC trip would entail lots of sports bars...what is the point? I can do that here or in KC for MUCH cheaper!
SOOOO am looking at Oct, departing Sun the 29th. There is a Princess E. Caribbean...but that is same itinerary as this cruise! What I would like to do is a Princess ELEVEN night that departs that day along the MX Riviera. Just not sure I can take FOUR days off...
Dan & I are on two different leave plans (by choice). He gets 11 days/yr for whatever. But the man also has several weeks of sick leave built up. I opt for the 14 days/yr plan, but that means I only get 2 "free" days, then 2 for "emergencies" and 10 sick. Since I have very little accumulated after 3 preganancies & 3 kids...makes more sense to get the extra 3 days. But that means I would have to take 2 unpaid days....OUCH. MAYBE I can switch plans next year(you can switch on certain years...every 3 or so, I think)...secretary said I am the ONLY one in our building on that plan!
SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO anyway...I am assuming rebooking another Princess is the smartest move. The only other one I am interested in next Oct. is RCI MX Riviera. Mom & Dad are taking that cruise in Dec. I need to call bestpricecruises.com today & check my options.
Well, I AM going to workout this AM! Pumpkin Patch this afternoon, school work tomorrow I'm sure missing the week vaca we normally have this time of year (back in the schedule next year!)

Do each thing one at a time. Highlight the word, then click on the color, highlight all of the things & click on size, then go for the gusto & highlight everything & make it bold.

Sports. Diversions is an all-purpose pub and sports bar. It has quite a few tv's in the back & does broadcast sporting events.

She has Lupus and needs to come off of or revamp her meds before she can try for babies. It's a horrible disease, I really pray she does ok with her pending pregnancy.

Hi Gang,

I was reading a thread about how friendly the DCL staff is, and it was making me all teary! OMG I cannot wait to go on this cruise. I'm just scared of when it's over, I'll come crashing down to earth!

I can't believe 16 months of planning and waiting are almost over. Next week is Chad's birthday, he'll be 20, and I remember last year when Chad got some great birthday wishes on this thread from some of our Christmas cruisers who were here from the start of this thread. (Franco, u lurking? )
I can't wait to be back at AKL. We loved it there so much. At first I thought twice about taking the DCL bus to the port, because I wanted to get there when they first open, but now I'm very happy to be leaving AKL a little later so we can stick around and enjoy it for a few hours before we cruise. My kids feelthe same way. I think I'm going to break down and cry when we walk in on the night of the 23rd. I'll have my cell phone with me, so Tig I'll call you when we arrive. (If anyone wants my cell #, just PM me.) Geez I'm talking as if we're leaving tomorrow!

Jill, thanks for posting the pics. You know how to make me cry with joy! (I know, I'm too much!!!)

Ok, now that THAT is out of the way...I've been lurking lately.

Jill, I love love love your sparkly mickey pumpkin.

Grim and I were totally lazy over the weekend and didn't get our pumpkins carved. He did buy us some cute pumpkin kits that come with mr. potato head type pieces that you stick into your pumpkin. So...we did two of those tonight as the first trick or treaters arrived. Grim's is a pirate , of courses, and mine is a princess , of courses

Grim is all dressed up in his pirate costume. He looks great! I even did eyeliner on him. I doubt he'll let me put up a picture because he wants to save it for Pirate night.
I got home late, so I'm being a stick in the mud. I didn't feel like dressing up by the time I got home.

Aisling, I guess I just haven't caught onto the whole "bigger font" thing. I'll try to remember from now on!

I haven't had any time to read the trip reports from the current cruisers, but I bet they're having a fantastic time! It will be our turn before we know it! That is a little scary since I have a yearbook deadline to meet, christmas presents to buy, grades to do, and a christmas party to plan, all before we leave for the cruise! Oh yeah, and pack, too!

That's so cool that he's really enjoying Halloween like a big kid. I can't wait to see the two of you all dressed up on pirate night. I'll be checking out the after-Halloween sales to find a good moustache for Jesse. By the way, Dede, did I see in your DL photos Grim carrying a sword in a bag??? I forgot to comment on it earlier, but did you guys buy it for Grim for pirate night? Enquiring minds want to know!

Lovely evening here...dad's took a wagon w/ a cooler of beer and walked the 8 kiddos around the neighborhood (prego mom went--she gained 10 lbs. this month, so said she needed the exercise!) The other 3 moms, we sat on one driveway handing out candy (we don't get all that many...we are kinda at the end of the neighborhood before townhouses with mostly older couples), drinking butterscotch schapps....Really fun!
Tig--you are right, it is 7 years. I dunno where I got 15 from!
Aisling...I'm w/ you, I LOVE the anticipation, almost as much as the trip--and I HATE when it is over!
Dede--I hear ya...I do NOT know how I'm gonna get everything done! I gotta get through this pile of work tomorrow (may be a late night,even, but worth it if it is all done!)...then some long range planning to be done!
Well, kinda tired here...bed early so can do another early energy day, hopefully.

Yes, Aisling, grim bought it for his pirate costume. It was really funny because one or both (can't remember) of his nephews bought swords at the same time, but they had theirs delivered to the hotel. They were eyeing grim's sword all day.

He was a big hit with the trick or treaters tonight.

We're backkkkkk, but we're totally tired, so I'll check back tomorrow with all the gorry details of our Dland weekend.

Safe to say that the 2+ hours in on Friday evening was less than 20 minutes to make it back thru there on our way home at 10:45pm on Sunday night...but we still got home after 3:30am, so we are tired tired tired.

Wilson just crashed out on the floor at my feet, must gather him up for bed.

(btw, I love the large font too, I have committed to seeing an eye doctor before the cruise after this trip, I couldn't read anything I used to be able to see no problem...keep the large fonts coming)

Oh no, don't get me started with the suit obsession again!
I have been obsessing about this all year long, and Grim can verify! Please, all men or women who speak for their men, what will you be wearing for Formal, Semi, and Palo?? No kidding, I'm with Karen, I still haven't decided for my two, but as of now tuxes (rental from the cruise) for Formal, bringing suits for Semi, and no Palo to worry about.

Suit reporting as required:

Paul: Tux for Formal, getting new tie & vest (mickey haven't decided on pattern yet), Semi-formal new seersucker suit (can you believe it!!!) for Palo's and the like (the shirt and ties are awesome too). I don't think he is bringing a dark suit, but ya never know.

Wilson: Tux for formal (must buy it soon from ebay...Paul to get him measured for me....waiting on that....) matching mickey tie & vest, like dads) Semi-Formal, new seersucker blazer to match his daddy. Thanks for the reminder, I have to find him a matching shirt like his dad's hmmmm...that might be some work. I don't think he will have a tie on for semi-formal, too hard to find in little size to match Daddy's

Now, back to the bigger problem. I still want a red dress!!!! But can't find one....I know shut up and be happy with the teal, ya ya. But I want a red dress!!!!
