Well, I was in Office Max & for $99.99 I found something called VHS to DVD 2.0. Deluxe. The capture device is included. It is by honestech. You plug one end into your VHS player & the other into your computer and make DVD's. + right now they are giving a $20 discount.

It says with just a few clicks, you can archive your videotape collection onto DVD/CD. Or create your own DVD/CD movies from your Camcorder, VCR, TV, DVD player, and more!

Jill, thanks for the link. This is a great gift for Santa to bring me for Christmas! And the price is very reasonable for the important job it's doing...now my old videos of my kids will be protected!

Speaking of protection, Chad flipped out when he saw a couple of the birthday pics I posted. I had to delete one because he's afraid it might appear somewhere in the future, and that would put him in a precarious position as a lawyer/politician. I told him it was just innocent fun out with his family, and that he can't live his life like that worrying about what may happen. But I guess he does have a point. So any naughty pics will be sent you you all through email! (He trusts you guys!)

here's a suggestion. Go into itunes, go to the music store, search for Window To The Magic, click on Paul Barries Disney Sound Guy or the icon with the monorail, go to where they show all of his episodes, go to episode dated the 28th "Secrets of the Wooden Door"
It is great. It's like a little show using the haunted mansion.

Did I tell you that we are going to Jackson Hole, WY for Xmas this year.

Paul's mom and dad have a house there, so it's just a long (1K) mile drive...2 days. We are going to have Xmas to ourselves then MIL & FIL will join us on 12/27-new years. We drive home on 1/1/07

Thanksgiving is home just the four of us....planning a quiet day & night.

Okay, going back to watch amazing race now.

Nan, I'll be watching for the 2008 winter dates. They're only booking up to April 2008 so far. We want to go for a cat 6 again. I really saved a lot through Costco.

We're going to my brother's family's house for Thanksgiving, close by. Wednesday night, we're going over to the Museum of Natural History to watch the parade balloons being blown up. I hope it's not too cold.

I'm sitting on my bed with my checkbook and piles of bills/reciepts/bank statements, trying to figure out why my checkbook says I have $3000 more in my account than it says on my bank statement! Is there an accountant in the house?

Hey all, just checking in ... in production with 2 shows as I type! Just recovered from a severe bladder infection - I was a very sick puppy! Plus some idiot ran into the rear passanger door of my car at the infamous "Somerville Circle" last week. I am ok, the car door is a wreck, but I am ok.

Sorry about the toe, Grim. Broke my left leg twice. Once I was hit by a car when I was 8 and the other time I fell on the ice in college. Bandage it well!

We have a ton of reel to reel I'd like on CD. Not sure Dominick is up to that challenge. Not to mention the video from Kayla's early years. Some day.

Thought RU was going to go all the way undefeated. Oh well. But hey, this is the first time in my lifetime they've done as well as they have!!

Want to get to DL. Maybe with my mom's DVC we can sneak a day or two in!! I'll have to start planning that one.

Happy Turkey Day, everyone. Spending it with my mom, SIL and nephews. My niece is in New Orleans in the 9th Ward for the week, helping to clean up and serving Thanksgiving dinner to those in need. I am sure it will be a humbling experience.

Tig - I forgot to mention we had brunch as well and also liked it better than dinner. The food was plentiful and delicious. The 8 of us were there for almost two hours and didn't realize how much time had past. It was well worth it.

We did enjoy dinner, too, just not as much a brunch.
