Christmas cruise 2010

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone is going on the Dec 23-30 Sailing in 2010

I just switched my dummy date to this cruise and would love to 'bask in the rays' of excitment with other DIS members. This is my first Christmas cruise AND this will be the first time I will cruise on the WOnder on a 7 night tour!

What CAT did you book? I rec'd a quote from my TA for a sailing on
DEC 11th 2010- Western and it was half the price of the Christmas cruise. You may be able to get the Decor without the high price.

Looks like we are doing this one!!! We had originally considered the 11 night Southern Caribbean on the Magic, but sil wants to do a couple of nights in WDW first!!! .... how can I argue with THAT!!!??? So it's five nights in WDW and then the 7 night Western Caribbean!! SO EXCITED!!

Greetings... Myself my DW,DD(10),DD(3) are booked... did it yesterday...

This will be our very first cruise

Since the cruise ends on Dec 30 think we will book into one of the resorts for a few day's and spend New Years there...

Has anyone been to Disney at New Years... are there good parties?

We booked cat-6. Yes, the Dec. 11 cruise sounds a lot better value; I'd definitely switch if we could have the time off from work/school. We cruised in mid Dec. in the past and loved the xmas decor.

I know it's far off in advance but it's nice to know that other DIS'rs have booked as well...

We've never been to WDW at New Years, but we were there around Christmas a couple times. Very busy, but wonderful holiday atmostphere. I think your family will enjoy it.

It looks like my husband and I will be on this cruise along with my husband's mother.
For my husband and I, this will be our 7th cruise and his mother's 2nd.
We have never done a Christmas cruise, and are all looking forward to what Disney will come up with!

Hi all!

My family will be on this cruise. It will be me, my DH and my DS who will be 18 then! It is scary to think that by that time my son (who is 16 now) will be 18 and in college

This will be our 4th DCL cruise, and our first Christmas cruise. My DS is really looking forward to cruising as an "adult" and being able to come with us to Palo and to the adult pool. I am really looking forward to experiencing these things with him too!

Looking forward to talking with you all over the long long months until this cruise!

Hi ll_california...

Just wondering if you had any Wii ones? or at least wii ones when we sail?

DD1 will be 11(12 on xmas eve)
DD2 will be 5 on the cruise...

We lucked out with DD1 when i was researching the trip when she turns 12 she is (get this) an Adult... in terms of fare...

When I called to book I specificaly asked when the age applies... it's on the day you sail... we sail on Dec 23 and she turns 12 on Dec 24!!!!

Both are very independant so I think they are both going to like the programs.

Anyway... just made another payment so I have to get back to work to earn enough for the next payment.


Oh ya... I booked a Cat4 (room 8040) I decided to get a bigger room because of the tween that will be traveling with us!!

and because I'm booked so far in advance that I can easily pay it off with lots of room to spare!!

wow MicraPIP, that is a great deal with you child's birthday! I saw photos on another thread with pictures of the ship decorated, and it was beautiful. The tree was huge! I also heard there are carolers and "snow" on Castaway Cay. It all sounds like a perfect Disney Christmas.

Hello everyone!!!!

I am currently on the 11 night Christmas board, but I am seriously considering changing to the 7 night!!!

I am looking to see if you can help me make up my mind - as my major stumbling block is that we already have quite the little Dis group on the 11 nighter, and we already have a spreadsheet ready to start our fishextender gift exchange!! - This might seem a small thing, but this will be our first DCL where we will have participated in a fishextender exchange and I really think it will make it an extra special Christmas for my 2 boys....so.......

Are you guys up for organising something similar - as it may well be a deciding factor to convince me to join your 'gang'!!!

How old are your Sons? (or how old will they be on the cruise?)

Even if you don't switch, can you please maybe flip me a copy of the spreadsheet? (just as a template?) take out names etc. (Just PM me)

oh thats great - I am almost definitely lmao going to swap to this cruise!!

Our boys will be 3 and 6 when we cruise!!

I will see if I can get it for you - someone else has drawn it up, but I think (!!) she sent us all a copy!!

We have changed our ressie to book this cruise, we had booked for Christmas 2009, but found a great deal on flights to California for this year so we changed to 2010.

We are from Nova Scotia, Canada and have a son that will be 10 at cruise time.

We did the NYE cruise on the Magic this year and had a great time with the DIS friends we met online.
