Grim: Did it twice and LOVvvvvveeedddd it. I really wanted DS to try it, but he was a bit afraid, so did it first with DD she was bubbling afterwards, so he did it and was glad he did. Very smooth and great music huh?

Are you planning another trip? We have those ressies for Labor Day at the Grand, but I might see what the ParkVue rate is, it was ok and close enough(I think closer than on property) and we then could eat at Ihop easliy for breakfast.

We didn't ride the monorail or see Ariel...so we did miss somethings that are important, but that happens when you travel with "new friends"

OMG, did I tell you about the GPS on Topanga???? It was fab. She told me to drive make a left stay on 5 etc... when I got off for gas she brought me right back to the freeway. I don't think I can have another kind of drive down there after her. Sooooo glad we got that GPS.

Must download those pics and pack, too tired last night we blew it off and decided to miss this morning at the track and hope to get into parking at the Fairmont...

Yup, Oct 9th - 13th at the GC - my first time staying onsite at DL! My Sister's family and Parents are going too.

Glad the GPS worked so well. Are those things hard to program? I have a handheld GPS and a laptop that will do the same things, but it's so bulky as to be useless. I want a GPS for my next car.

Nan, I'm with Grim, your GPS sounds fantastic. A new car isn't in my near future, but I'll definitely spring for the GPS when I buy my new car. Remember KITT from that old David Hasslehoff show, (K)Night Rider? That's what I think of when I hear GPS. So Cool.

We're still packing and waiting for one more child to show up with her luggage so John can load the cartop carrier.

I have one more piece of clothing in the dryer too...

it'll be a late night but we're not leaving til around 8:30/9...only 6 hours to the outerbanks...

Yes, that's Rose- She's an ambulatory care nurse and Deborah Heart and Lung Hospital

I feel like she and I have been together forever...we met when our kids were 4 and 6.

Her daughter and my daughter are the same age and so are our boys. Both sets are 3-4 weeks apart in age.

Sale went SO well...really could have had it for 3 hours, as did bulk of the sales then. But today I mark everything half price to clear it out! Still have a bit to donate, and still nice stuff. But made plenty for my trip plus enough for Dan and I to get our overnight before school starts. Cool! Now it won't hurt the budget so much to pay for those d*mn passports!!!!!!!!!!!
Well, Dan & I off for date...he was playing poker at a friends until 3AM...don't think the movie is a good plan!

I'm still here! I was away for the weekend, but I'm back early.

Kris, great news about your sale...I'm guessing the weather behaved itself after all.
Just came back from my Curves workout. I have no patience, I want to see results right away or I get discouraged. So I have to change my attitude and just do it. The 30 minutes go by so fast, so it doesn't feel like forever, at least. I'm really working it hard, getting the most out of it, sweatwise!

I'm wondering about the weather the day we board the ship, if in December it's still shorts and tees, or will it be cooler. I think I'll do a search on the cruise board, and/or google the weather pattern for Port Canaveral for Decembers. I've never been to Florida in the winter.

Weather has been much more agreeable! Amazing how nice 90 feels after days around 100!
Have been Jazzercising pretty good...but have a heel spur that has begun bothering me again, then twisted my ankle pretty good Thurs. Picked up another ankle brace today...I'll look great w/ one on each ankle! But if it keeps me working out, it's worth it! Also finally sprung for new aerobic shoes...old ones were well over 2 years old! I actually found a high top pair to help support my ankle....though I suppose w/ the braces don't really need it!
Sometimes I SO don't want to go...but I tell myself to just go & try 20 min...I always stay the whole time, and always have a good time! (except the time I tried a 5:45 AM class....I am NOT a morning person!) Nice thing is I have been so busy that I have been eating very light, so 5 lbs. finally dropped off.
Same 5 from the last time...hopefully we can kick another 5 off before school starts!
It was HOT in FL at the end of Oct. I think it is pretty darn warm all year round, but I certainly will be checking that forecast, too!
Well, so much to do before I leave for Provo Weds...better go!
