After a week off from work to work around the house ( I'm sanding the kitchen cabinets & painting) & of course practice at the rink. I leave Sat the 30th for Orlando & leave early the 2nd for Pensacola. When I come home depends on whether or not I make finals.

This is the 1st year in this level at Nationals. When I medaled in the other division I had to move to Standard. So, I won't be terribly dissapointed if I don't place. If I doo - welllll - that will be gravy.

Prozac has a cool little video on photobucket of a cat attacking a toddler. I tried to post it on here but it didn't work. Check it out.

 :moped:

We're leaving on the 30th too!

I doubt if we'd see you tho, we take 13 all the way down.

Good Luck at Nationals Mom, I know you'll do well.

I'll have to check out your "cool video" from work tomorrow.

It errored out on me from here.

Jill, thanks for the pictures. I really want to go all out and play along on Pirate Night, maybe get my hands on Jack Sparrow ;) .

I regret to say that we will not be making our cruise. The
stress and delay of immigration is taking it's toll on my babe. She has missed
her visit back home to Brazil this coming August and just can't deal with the
stress of going to the mailbox everyday. We still are going to WDW for the
same time frame Dec 23-Jan 3. So, all hope is not lost, even if we really were
up for the cruise. It has been fun reading all your post and I can tell that all
you ladies are ready to go. So, sail on ladies, steady as she goes! I will be
lurking around just to make sure you are not causing much trouble!!! :earsgirl: :smooth: :bounce:

I was so excited to see you around here again! SOOOO sad will not be meeting you personally...
BUT you will have a glorious time at WDW...something my children are miffed about the fact that they aren't going!
Best wishes to you!
Lurk away!
Kris

I agree with Kristin...and I know my Mom will be disappointed :(

We were all looking forward to meeting you and your family...

Mom, the Girls and I will be in WDW NYE and NYDay, we should hook up a mini-meet! This should be easy since we are staying at the same resort! Keep in Touch dear Franco, I am still sorry to hear the news but happy that you still get to visit WDW~

Good Luck with your wife's paperwork, I hope that gets cleared up soon.

Franco, what a disappointment for your family and for us, too. I was wondering how you were doing, not having heard from you on the boards in a while. As the others have said, I was so looking forward to meeting you and yours.
At least you'll have WDW to look forward to. Keep posting here if you feel like it, since you are the founder of this thread! And we'd love to hear about it.
Hey everyone, let's have a konk kooler toast for Franco on Castaway Cay!

I just came back from my first Curves session, and all I can say is GET THE STRETCHER!
There was one that has a summer special, $99 until August 31st, 3 times a week, so I joined up and treated my SIL. It was hard. I never exercise, so my face was all red by the rime I got around the circuit, but I finished it. I do admit, I feel my blood flowing, and even though I'm tired-out, I feel good, energized. So we'll see what happens.

That cat attack video...bad kitty!

I agree with Tigg. Let's have a mini meet At SOG. Have you posted a picture of your family so that we can recognize you? ::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo

I can just see Scooter (my cat) doing something like that. :cat: :moped:

Jill

Franco, ditto what everyone else says...So sorry you won't be joining us on the ship, but I do hope that we will get to have a mini-meet at WDW.

Please do keep joining us here, we love to have some sane people around (seems that there is a group of crazy people, me included that need to have a reality check sometimes.... ) Not really I think we all love the fact that we are way DIS crazy.....

hmmmm, maybe that is what is going on with that silly kitty????

Speaking of my illness, I'm working on printing all the pictures I have of DD & "her twin" for a Ariel scrap class she and I are doing for a suprise on her actual bday. Poor DH, up to his eyes soon in photos to get copies of....man I'm lucky I got the right guy for the job.

See ya,

Nan

WILD VIDEO!!! Have a cat--can certainly see that happening!
Aisling--GO GIRL!! Found when I set my goal at 3-4x/week I only went 2-3x. Now I have set my goal at 6x/week--and low and behold, I am making 4x! Plus so busy today I have eaten so healthy--DD asked if I was on a diet. I always am careful to not make a bit deal of it...just "trying to eat healthy, and have some clothes that I would like to fit better!" (she doesn't need to know those clothes are several sizes smaller!!!! :rotfl:
I actually cleaned out Hailey's AND Jackson's rooms today! WOW! I am amazed at the piles for the sale in the dining room. And the organized rooms are so soothing...actually they both LOVED it! Jack even gave up Animal Planet for the eve to play. Amazing what you can find when everything is organized again! Those were the toughest two rooms, barring the storage room...THAT won't be fun! But necessary! Plus Dan will help w/ that. His job today was simply to haul all the stuff to get rid of downstairs, hiding some...(saves tears...EVERYTHING is SO special sometimes! Actually I was surprised how willing Hailey was to purge her room. When I said she could only have stuffed animals that would fit in one bin, she gladly obliged!)
So just more of this for the next 10 days...cleaning out, then organizing for the sale. I do one nearly every summer. Nice cash, usually for a trip, and I can go back to school with my home in relatively decent order! If my home/desk is cluttered, my brain tends to be, too. So I need order before I can focus...this can be a terrific way to procrastinate, by the way!
Well, I'm in a zone...apparently I am chatty w/ all my energy, too!
Bye! :wave2:
Kris

Now I have set my goal at 6x/week--and low and behold, I am making 4x!
That is so funny! Hey, whatever it takes, right? ;)

Reading about all that cleaning out rooms, sanding/painting cabinets (Jill), etc is making me motivated. I have a few household things that need to be done, bit I've been putting them off.
Kris, I wish I could have a good ole yard sale, but that's not an option where I live, so I depend on flea markets which charge an average of $35 for a table for the afternoon. I hope you make tons of $$$ from your sale.

This sounds like a fantastic idea. You girls are SO creative.

New Milestone - the 100th page of this thread!

Sorry you won't be going Franco. Christmas at WDW is not a bad alternative...

Speaking of pirates pirate: I got a tricorn hat (like Jack Sparrow's in that picture) in the gift shop outside of POC, so I'm all set for pirate night! Dede wants to dress up as Scarlet (We wants the red head!).

We just got back, and I'm exhausted.
I'm sooo glad we went. It was tons of fun.
The morning of July 17th, we got to DL around 5:30 AM. The line to get into the line was huge. It snaked around everywhere. We finally got through bag check and into DCA around 6:15. Once inside, we got free gold mouse ears and a special map with a reproduction of the map from 1955. We walked for what seemed forever to get to the back of the line. It snaked all the way through DCA back to the front entrance. Everyone was in a very festive mood, with golden mouse ears EVERYWHERE. They stopped letting people into DCA soon after we got in, so we timed it just about right.

When they finally let us in, we walked from DCA to DL through the esplenade, where there were literally thousands of people waiting to get into DL that weren't admitted into DCA. We felt like royalty. We finally got into DL, and there were CM's lining the streets waving and singing Happy Birthday. It was just amazing. Very emotional.

The day itself wasn't nearly as crowded as I thought it would be. Seems a lot of people were waiting on Main Street for the re-dedication ceremony (which I didn't even bother trying to see because there were already so many people stacked in front of the hub/castle. They had jumbo-trons set up throughout the parks, so we got to see it anyway). Also, a lot of people were in the 4 hour long line for 'I was there' merchandise.

They had free cupcakes for everyone. You couldn't go into a bakery/restaurant/candy store without someone trying to shove a cupcake into your hand. At the end of the day, we saw guests carying boxed of cupcakes home with them.

We got to do a lot of attractions that day, which surprised me. The 'new' Space Mountain had just opened 2 days before. It is AWESOME. It's much darker and faster than before.

Anyway... gotta go collapse now.

Grim, do u have late seating? Also, how do u feel about PLA rotation?
We have late, and I had my TA note our request for PLA, to have Pirate Night in Parrot Cay and Formal in Lumiere. I think it would be tons of fun to see you two at dinner!!

We do have late seating. PLA sounds good. I'll see if I can make that request through my TA too (Costco).

Grim: SO glad to hear from you...you made it back alive.

Now I really want to go again. I've been bugging Paul all day to go next Sun, Mon and Tues. I think I'll pull the guilt trip tonight and see if I can force him into it. I know he'll say yes if I ask, so I just better ask... I did find a hotel (ParkVu for ok rate) not DL but beggars can't be chosers.

I snooped over to ebay a bit ago and found this CUTE set for Molly for her doll for Friday's big party....it has a mini magic 8 ball in it...

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=5599316257&rd=1&sspagename=STRK:MEWN:IT&rd=1

OK, Disney freak, AG freak what can I say...

Asiling:

Can we crowd into the dinner idea too??? We are doing late seating as we are on a different time zone and wouldn't be ready so early to eat....and I want PLA...

Paul & I talked about the "stuff" that was coming with us today. I reminded him I can either pack it and bring it or BUY IT ALL THERE NEW. He suddendly understood that he should join in on my pack it plan, as we have all the pirate gear. Last night we bought DS a skull hat and me a arrggggg gold braclet from the party store that is Allready setting up for Halloween.

OKay, I also got DS a captain hat and DD a Gillian hat (deck hand) I figure I'll be dressing them in outfits for an invite, I was going to suggest that we celebrate Xmas early at our house (I'm setting my my Disney toys) (Did I mention that we have Disney toys???) We have monorail, orange stinger, 50th celebration castle(yes, I had it sent home from the trip), rail road, Dumbo, teacups...can't remember them all, as we have them in boxes now. They will take up almost an entire room to set up...it will be a fun party, I can just sea (ha ha) it!

I think I really need to get a life, too many parties are planning in this little head of mine....must get back to ebay now for those last minute impulse buys (it-nows)

I just had a thought...yes-I have them all the time...;)

We're going to NC, which actually is very well known for their pirates.

Legend has it that Nags Head is so named because in the age of pirates, there were some that lived on land in that area. The pirates would tie a lantern on the neck of a horse and walk it along the coast-from a ship, this looked like another ship...the ocean going vessels would sail towards the light and crash on the shores. The pirates would then attack the sinking vessels and clear them of all their bounty.

sooooo, to get back to my point-NC sells alotta pirate gear! Brittany, Stefanie and me will have to do shop shopping for our own pirate bounty. (booty-whatever:confused3 )

The info my mom put on the thread said they give us the headkerchief-I guess we need the outfits and accessories...I'll let you know upon my return what we come up with.

Grim: Did you get a photo of the sea of gold!?!?

Your trips sounds extra magical...I bet you and Dede are glad they wouldn't let you cancel eh?

When we get to the ship...

We should all go to whomever sets up the dining and see if we can all get grouped together...definitely worth a try!

Gotta go enter some payroll...bbl...

MIL requested early...I suppose, w/ 12 kids. That's OK, it should be a nice change from our last cruise.
Marcus's room cleaned out. He isn't the pack rat Hailey is. Plus girl stuff seems to have so many pieces! Plus most of Marcus' clothes go to Jack, and games/books move up to Hailey! Since Hailey is a girl, only books/games to to Jack, while toys & clothes move on. Plus Jacks stuff just GOES. I am ASTOUNDED by the pile for the sale in the corner of the dining room!
One table would NOT do it here! I spend about $30 for an ad. I have several large tables left from my shop, and I bought nice signs to put our addy on that I use every year. I generally do pretty well. Maybe that means I buy too much stuff!!!!! :confused3 But the kids do grow out of clothes, etc., and they do get many gifts, so it ISN'T just me!
Well, gotta keep moving!
Grim--glad you had a ball! Jealous here!
Kris
Hey--the smilies are different! Wonder why?

Hey everyone,
Thanks for your good wishes Tigg we leave on Saturday for our West coast adventure, I promise when I get back I'll come and visit this thread more often, That's if you'll have me back.....
Lynn

Sounds like you're on a good roll there Kris!

You go Girl! So we can't do dinner together, there's a TON of others stuff we will get together for right?!

Hey Lynn!

Of course we will have you back...again, Have a Great time in California!

We want photos!
