what is this 3x10lbs?what did I miss? Do I need to print these posts inorder to retain what we are saying? (might not be a bad idea huh) I'm a Curves girl too, starting again at that 6 month mark. So what amount is reasonable to lose in 6 months? I have to confess I haven't dieted for real before. Didn't need to in my 20s, in my 30's work work work & 2 kids, so now I pay in my 40's.

Now another query, who used a TA to book vs going with Disney directly? I used Disney, but I'm wondering if it is worthwhile to check out transferring our ressie over to an agent. Some agents I've seen will give a "rebate" I'm more interested still in making the right *plans* perhaps we are ok since I have my lovely DIS group to guide and support me. I keep meaning to make our scheduled itinerary like Tigg, but haven’t gotten to that (hmmmm, am I exposing a pattern of procrastination)

I'm deep into the last night of Lost, surfing back and forth between that and Idol, I suppose you all know who wins by now. DON'T Tell me. Thank heavens it is your bed times back there :rotfl2: You realize that means that I'll be the one that requires the least sleep and most parying right :cool1: ?

DD was sick last night, stayed home from school today, we played 3 hours of Monopoly before I finally quit.

I'm going over to my yahoo mail to read my "other" disney posts (MFL & Disney Scrappers) You know about that don't ya Kris?

Check back in tomorrow. Goodnight night :wave2:

Nan

p.s. oops I forgot Thanks for the video game info, sounds like I need to look at those Game boys

I guess I should throw in my 2 cents :cool1:

I saw the DCL vdeo before the last cruise. Worth watching one time. Passporter, Birnbaums & DCLTribute also good to have.

I lost a little weight too. I don't know how much because I threw my scale out. But, last month I had some outfits I could barely zip up. Now they fit.  I still eat what I love. I refuse to diet. But, I did cut back on portions.

AI, I'm probably one of the few that havn't watched it. I love CSI Las Vegas. I think Grissom is the bomb. (Mel PEterson) He isn't the most handsomest man. But, he is intelligent, Has all his hair, Has personallity & he isn't fat.

Games. Could spend hours (and do) playing Mahjong tiles, pachisi & free cell. Also, Sony puts out a hand held device called PSP. You can play action games, watch full length movies. Show your pictures & play music. The graphics are incredible. It might be a bit expensive for a 5 year old. But, I've seen teens & grown ups play games for hours. I have one too. (I'm sort of a gadget person. I'd rather buy a gadget than go clothes shopping.

I booked thru a TA the first time & thru DCL while on the cruise the 2nd to get the onboard credit then transfered it to my TA. I went thru the TA on a military base. They give a discount also. They said they would let anyone book - military or not as long as you can get on the base.

ENough chat. See ya :grouphug:

Jill :moped:

We went through DU and got a good rebate. I can't remember how much.
The gameboy SP also has videos that you can buy.
We my DS is reminding me that it is time for breakfast so I'll go.
I love CSI too. It is the one type of show my DH and I watch together. We now watch Numbers, too.

Yeah, Jazzercise is great--I need to make a 3x+/week commitment, but w/ our schedule it can be tough! I am back on track--inlaws here over the 4th, going for 10 lbs., Provo early Aug--hopefully 10 more....DH & my mom have offered a nice chunk of change for a new wardrobe when the weight is gone, and I would like to spend it at those end of summer sales for the cruise, so I am under the gun now! (Plus Mom will get all my clothes that fit now--she's a Talbots lover, too) Portion control is the key! I've never been good w/ not eating what I want, either--but I keep reminding myself that I WANT thin more--don't wanna be the fattest family member there!
AI was great--they are both so good, but Carrie really kicked it up a notch Tues. night. I really believe they had some of the greatest talent this season--blew other seasons away (although Kelly Clarkson is amazing!) Nice to have a show the whole family can watch--there aren't any family sitcoms anymore! We have to watch Full House on Nick! So reality TV is sadly the safest bet--not ALL reality TV! We watch Amazing Race (my very fav--wanna go on that show! But who can take several months off??), AI and Survivor. All pretty safe for kids. Kids love Fear Factor--YUK!
Well, better go work! :wave2:
Kristin
Congrats on the weight loss--send losing vibes my way (or weigh! :rotfl2: )

I got my loot :cool1:  :cool1:

The ice chest is very cool. DH said "we have a black one in the garage just like that" my reply "NOT WITH MICKEY AND THE BOYS ON IT" :earsboy: He did however say thanks for the swimsuit.

I got the white cover-up, it is very WHITE, almost too white, I may have to dye it or something...and I got the cute slip on sandals in pink and black, they match my toe nail polish so I'm wearing them right now.

Lastly, got some pins, evil queen (that's me) and the hag (that's me too) ariel for DD Molly, yes she has redhair too. Then 4 Jiminys for our Dland trip. When my sister was little she told us that Jiminy was her husband. Good pickin 'eh?

I just realized that I'm telling you about these figuring that you all know what I'm talking about, but you do know don't ya :scratchin

btw, thanks grim I ordered the cruise dvd. We may have it, but not sure...the kids love to watch those over and over again.

okay back to the salt mines.... pirate:

:wave2: Nan

I am so pathetic...can't remember if we discuss things or they are from the regular thread...
Passports???Gosh, people are going NUTS! And many people have declared themselves experts!
I plan on waiting until the end of summer...see if they push our date further into the future...if not, even if nothing is definite, I will then get the ball rolling and spend that horrid $500...I don't mind getting them for Dan & I, but I seriously doubt the kids would need them again for the next 5 years--we've got too much of this country to see w/ them (expense aside for travelling out of the country!)
Marcus is driving me nuts--he & his friends now call each other several times a night!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WoW! Guess we have it the official preteen years!
Better get outside, it is gorgeous here!
Kristin
PS Just saw a study on the news...says if we just stand for 2 extra hours a day (like at work--easy for me), we can lose 30-40 lbs. in a year! Hey, just found my new weight loss plan!

3x, :cheer2: for you for those 10 lost pounds! I didn't want to say anything for fear of jinxing myself, but I'm doing so well on my diet. Jill, I know what you mean about not dieting, just portion control, but when you have a tummy like mine, diet is the only way!! I'm just changing what I've been eating, and so far I'm sticking to it. If I don't stick with it, I have to cancel the cruise, because I won't fit into any of my 8/10s and I won't be able to afford a new cruise wardrobe in the larger size. So wish me luck, or else I'll be standing at the port waving bye bye to all my cruise friends. :sad1:

And now a message from Jesse AKA Aladdin's Clone: Hi I heard your problem and I think the Nintendo SP is the way to go. Its a simple system that anyone can get addicted to. I am thirteen and i started playing video games when I was 3. The best games for your 5 year old would be Disney/Pixar The Incredibles, Backyard baseball 2006, or MVP baseball 2004 because it costs less than the 2006 one, Spongebob Squarepants. There's one called Disney princesses, but your son may not likt to play a girl's game even though its fun and easy. I have the new Nintendo DS that my mom got for me and my brother for last Christmas but i think its for more experienced gamers, so maybe you should get the SP instead. If you have an XBox, playstation, GameCube or Nintendo game system hooked up to your tv, your son can learn the basic moves before he learnes how to play on a small handheld systeem. Its so much fun. I want to ge a game designer when I grow up and I wanted to go to Cali for the E3 gamer convention but I couldnt go. E3 stands for electronics entertainment expo. There's a PS2 contest on the Magic and I want to do it. If you want I can show your son how to play, because he'll love it. It makes your brain work faster. Jesse.

Can you tell my boy's into this big time?? :rotfl:

I watched AI last night, but I don't watch much tv. I'm a Star Trek fanatic, in all it's incarnations, but especially TOS, and I used to daydream about living on DS9. Captain Picard is SO sexy, even without the hair!! I do like to have CNN or Fox News on in the background when I'm fiddling around the house, just to be in touch with what's happening in the world. Disney and Star Trek are my passions, when it comes to tv.

Grim, I ordered my DVD and I keep it in my kitchen player at all times so I can watch it over and over again when I'm cooking.

Nan, I booked through Costco last September and saved a bit more than $700 over DCL, DU, and all the others I checked into. That's a nice chunk of change!

And about the new Mickey cooler, I'm thisclose to getting it. I already have the other one (right, Tiggie ;) ) and I don't really need the new one, but we'll see. And Tig, I tried to keep away from ebay, but I think I miss it too much. I love getting packages in the mail, but it really gets expensive. Ok I just convinced myself I can't afford to get back on ebay for a while!

Here's a photo of me and Jesse that Chad just took. Sorry it's so dark, but we didn't plan it, Chad just snapped it! If you look back a thousand pages, I have a link up with our family vaca photos.

Be back later!! :flower:

LOL!

I saved your link my friend, of course it's in my work computer

Just stopping in to say hey! Hope everyone is well! Nice pic Aisling! Chad prob really liking that picture phone huh?

I can try to post your photos for you, as long as I am supplied the link I can post photos for all-o-y'all :teeth:

Yes, thank you Grim for the link :)
I have last year's DVD but ordered the new one anyway :teeth:

My only way to save money is to make sure if I buy it, I actually need it. It works for me, most times...sometimes there's this little special something out there that a girl just has to have...then it's okay to treat yourself ;) Remember, as a member of the PPC you MUST promise to care for you, as well as others.

 Hi Jesse!

~Tigger~

Hi gang,
It's a quiet Friday night...Jesse's at his cousin's overnight, Mel's out playing tennis, Chad's on XBox-Live, and I'm sitting here browsing around the internet. I just won a bid for two purple scrub tops for work, and I can't wait to get them. I love purple, and they'll match my purple Crocs I wear to work.
I have a mad headache, so I'm going to take a rest for a while, and continue my Dising later, if I'm still awake!

:daisy:

Busted!!!!!!!!!

Ebaying again I see........pirate:

It's ok...after Nan sent me the link to the Disney auctions...I've been VERY tempted to head over there and find me some great deals.

but I have willpower.....

noooooooooo ebayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy ;)

Be strong young jedi....the force of ebay is a powerful one. Once you have come into the light it is hard to turn back to the dark side of Target.... (insert heavy breathing here) :rotfl:

We're off to Camp Norway...nothing like it sounds (ok everything like it sounds) I'll bring back a full report, that will send you all to sleep.

Have a good weekend everyone....I wish I was on a ship with a :drinking1 in my hand or on the way to a real vacation with :earsboy: & :earsgirl: on our heads. Oh well....next time.

:wave2:

Nan

I want to wish all you ladies a great Memorial Day Weekend,
and all of you stay out of trouble!!! :earsgirl: :cool1: :cool2:

Franco--Nice to hear from ya!
Low key weekend here...really just need to get the house in order for our end of the school year bash Friday--this is one w/o the kids! Good-bye party for a good friend from school who will be moving to another building. Had a really fun time! Had a drink for each of ya! (and had the splitting headache in the middle of the night. Rookie move, mixing drinks! If I stick w/ just beer, I'm better off!) Needless to say gumption is a bit low today, though gotten quite a bit done. Finally got hanging/potted plants purchased. They will look really nice for the party (after that I cannot make promises...I'm neglectful of plants)
Dan & Marcus at ball game, but storms moving in. Jack napping--that child doesn't know the meaning of sleeping late! Bless Hailey, she slept until 10:00!
Yes, that apple didn't fall too far...
Well, should go finish figuring grades then back to the house. Nothing like a party to get me to clean good!
Have a WONDERFUL Memorial Day weekend--beautiful weather here. Dan golfing tomorrow, grilling out w/ Dan's dad, my folks & my bro's family. It will be nice!
Hope all your holidays are filled w/ family, friends & fun!
Kristin

I just got a Minnie dress w/ red velvet top/silky skirt. Immaculate. Paid $2+ 3.85 shipping. Quite a deal! Now Hailey has FOUR dresses for dinner PLUS Princess dresses! princess: Ridiculous, I know! :rolleyes1
Bye! :wave2:
Kristin

Franco It is absolutely good to hear from you. Especially, since it is a Military type weekend.

$2 That is incredible!!!!!

Well, the only new outfit I'm getting is a skating outfit. The lady is doing a awesome job. She did kinda make me feel good. She noticed I lost weight & I created extra work for her now she has to take it in. Awwwwwww.

There was a skating competition (States) Today I placed 2nd in dance :cool1:

Weather wise it was the 1st warm day we have had in a while. This was the coldest May since 1967.

I'm glad someone is drinking for me. I'm ready for some Kamakazees

Jill :grouphug: :moped:

I just got a Minnie dress w/ red velvet top/silky skirt.
:rotfl: Kristin, I thought you meant the dress was for you, and then I was about to run over to ebay to find one for me, too, when I further read it was for your little princess!

Franco, so good to hear from you. I hope all is well with you and yours. Peaceful Memorial Day to you and to all our military.
How are your boys? And the Mrs.?

Jill, congratulations to you!! :cheer2: Do you have any pictures to share? I was thinking about your job at the prison, and was wondering if it's a women's prison. I was watching a show on MSNBC last night about prisons, and it seems like I'd be more afraid of the women inmates than the men! :scared1:

Be strong young jedi....the force of ebay is a powerful one.
Busted!!!!!!!!!
Nan and Tig, you crack me up!

:scratchin Ok, very important question  : I have a new pair of 3 inch high faddish lavendar flip flops :goodvibes and a new pair of really cute girly kitten heel mule-type sandals :goodvibes , and I don't know which to wear to the port! They're both comfy, but will I look like an idiot wearing heels (even though they're only 1 and a half inch high)? Tiggie, I think you and Jill will be in jerseys, so will I be overdressed? I just want to fit in, but I love my new shoes! DH thinks I'm a nut, thinking about this now at 6 months to go, well he thinks I'm a nut to even care about what I put on my feet! He was making fun of me saying "why don't you wear a Kentucky Derby hat while you're at it". But I'm not going to be "dressed up", I just want to plan it all out in my mind, down to the clothes I'll be wearing, just for fun, even tho I'll surely change my mind a few more times by then.
Opinions?

Oh, I can't believe I forgot to tell you all...I saw the QE2 today! This is Fleet Week here in NYC, and I've gone down to the pier a few times over the years, but it's been a while. Well, today I was driving along the West Side and saw that beautiful ship that I'd never seen before! I've seen the Norwegian Dawn lots of times going out to sea, but never the QE2. It was a sight to see, but I'd rather be on DCL! Oh yeah, I'm GOING to be on DCL!!! :jumping1: Tomorrow I'll go take some pictures and post them.

Another cool thing happened today. About 2 months ago I got a pre-approved credit card application in the mail from Citibank. It said if I accept the card, and make ONE charge of ANY amount, they'll send me a $100 gift card for Old Navy. Well, I got the card, made a $10 purchase, paid it off, cancelled the card, and today I reveived my $100 gift card!!! So I grabbed Jesse and dragged him to Old Navy because he needed some new clothes. We spent $50 of the card, got tons of stuff because we picked everything from the clearance rack (great stuff, no junk), and have $50 left! I had my doubts about this too-good-to-be-true offer, but it was real. I called the credit card company just to make sure my account was indeed canceled, and it is. I cut up the card and threw it in the garbage! I hope no one thinks I'm unethical, but this was their offer, and I just took them up on it!

And now that I've strained your eyes with this thesis-long post, I'll stop...for now!

:daisy:

Aisling--I love a good deal, too--and I love shoes! Go w/ the lower heels. You will look fab. I am getting into heels. Problem is, definitely not for work (not standing on tile floors all day in heels!) Fine for winter, but I'm not into the heels w/ capri pants look, even though it is supposedly fashionable.
The young girls are still wearing their jeans (kinda getting hot for that!) But paired w/ camisoles, heels, cute look. Unfortunately I cannot do camis. Tried the ones w/ built in bras, but its like putting on a straight jacket! Ah, the price of getting older! Then again, definitely more satisfied w/ my life at this age, and definitely have more money than when I was 21!
6 months is too long to wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well, ta ta for now! (rats, no tigger icon!)
Kristin
