Back in the day Christmas oriented commercials used to debut in November before Thanksgiving to get people ready for Christmas and stores like Macy's would promote Black Friday sales when November would debut and during October especially in Canada you see commercials for turkeys from Butterball and Jennie-O because in Canada Thanksgiving is called Thanksgiving Monday in October but you see few Halloween commercials now these days. But I agree that it's way too early to promote Christmas in September and they should officially begin promoting commercials as soon as October is over. Because I knew it was the start of Christmas commercials when I used to see my morning game shows and a commercial for Balsam Hill Christmas trees came on and then i'd see the classic Hershey Kisses commercial and thought it's way too early to promote Christmas. Halloween is another holiday that used to be promoted all the time in October and you always knew Halloween was coming because there used to be dozens of commercials for Halloween but today I think Halloween is promoted not so much anymore and they now focus on Thanksgiving commercials and Christmas commercials. But like Easter and Mother's Day and Father's Day Christmas commercials should improve themselves
