Funny little story that happened the other night.

The Rotary Club Chorley each year as in many towns get a Father Christmas on a trailer, a sound system etc and drive round the estates here. So when it was coming up the road I shouted to Sarah and the Girls that it was coming. They rushed to get shoes and coats on and ran outside to meet Santa.

Well Santa gets a lollipop straight away and says "There you are Bethany", me and Sarah looked at each other puzzled but thought she must have said her name without us hearing. One of the kids from next door (Charlotte) says to her Grandad, "LOOK GRANDAD THATS MR MITCHINSON, SANTA IS MR MITCHINSON"
Mr Mitchinson is Bethany's teacher in Year 2

So all the kids were shouting his name, as they were doing this we heard another member of the Rotary Club say to Santa "Think we better get going as they have sussed you out"

So they pulled away with all the kids shouting "Bye Mr Mitchinson" instead of Santa.

I was creasing my sides laughing. :rotfl:

The next day i explained the true story that he was helping out Santa seeing who is still being nice just before xmas and that he would ring Santa when he got home.

Phew :bitelip:

Phew indeed Rob :rotfl:

The Rotary club used to come around my mother-in-laws area every Christmas Eve and I always remember Vicki rushing out to see Santa, it was wonderful :goodvibes

brilliant but great save Rob! :)

:rotfl:

thats great

my kids were told early on that these people are only santas helpers as the real santa never leaves the north pole till xmas eve ;) after seeing santa at the school fair recently we got home to santa and the local round table in the street so i was glad the children picked up why he was in two places at once!

Santa is so lucky to have so many 'santa helpers'. I've seen various Dads at the primary school my DD's used to go to be Santa over the years and the children never work it out - mind you it is pretty dark in that grotto

:rotfl2: Kids are so funny and pick up on so much more than we think they do :)

we all know there is only one real santa
