I am 28 and started sending Christmas Cards 6 years ago when DH and I got married. I change up what I do each year, some years I send a card with a personal note for close friends and close family, the year we had our DD we did photo cards and I did individual letters inside for close friends and family, this year we will be sending photo cards for those who sent us cards last year with individual notes(with a pic from our upcoming trip) others will get a regular card with a quick update on us (mainly our new address and that we enjoy our new home.)

Always send out cards, always photo cards(well since we had our first child in 1999). I LOVE getting photo cards, I never get any newsletters, but I'd like them, too. The regular cards are fine, but I like to see family and friends smiling faces, so if you're on the fence, get the photo card..and don't feel you have to sign them. It's addressed to me, I know you we're thinking of me when you did that.

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Christmas cards. I spend alot of time searching for just the right card, that depicts my personality. I know people don't really care but I am enamoured w/Christmas cards.

I send out about 40 cards and sadly I noticed last year that I didn't receive as many as in the past. (I kinda think because of facebook) I feel bad for those that are so technology addicted that they don't feel the simple joy of giving & receiving cards. I write my greetings in each card but no newsletter. I also display all of my cards received. I like receiving the family photos and I always used to send them out too but honestly w/all the social media it's not quite as exciting to recieve as it used to be.

I save each years received cards for the following year & I'll cut out the card cover & use it as a nametag on a gifts. This way I get to enjoy the card twice. :santa:

We started send them after we had the boys, we send about 40-50 a year. No newsletter, but a quick note on the back.

The kids love getting them from all of our friends and family, they look through them often trying to learn everyone's name.

I love to send and receive Christmas cards, but it does seem like I receive less and less each year.

Other...

I have cut back to close friends and family.

I used to send out many cards.

This year I think I am going to put together a photo card.

I do send cards. For the past few years, I've done photo cards, because those are the ones we keep hung up the longest ourselves. - I absolutely sign them by hand, though!

I don't do newsletters, but we usually receive two each year - one kind of braggy one we roll our eyes over, and one really funny and creative one we always look forward to.

Love holiday cards, especially photo cards. Regular cards even w/a note are just okay.

I don't care either way about the letter. Some I look forward to due to their expected ridiculousness.

I keep all photo cards & letters in the back of the year's scrapbook.

We do holiday photo cards -- ordered them yesterday from Shutterfly. Send out about 35 or so a year.

No letter though, we aren't fans....and only get one or two a year...thankfully!

I sent out 20 cards to friends this year. No newsletter, no picture.

Yes I have always sent out cards. Since we've had our kids I have done photo cards. We have lots of family that live out of state, several don't use Facebook.

I have never liked the Christmas newsletter thing. My aunt used to do it when she and my uncle were married. The year she and my uncle split up she still sent one and slammed my uncle left and right in it and sent it out to our entire family (my uncle's side!!). Very tasteless!

This year I'll send them, but some years I don't. I do not do the newsletter thing and honestly can't stand when I get one. If you want to wish someone a happy holiday, go for it, but putting in a page long newsletter about what you and your family did the past year screams "look at me, look at me!" IMO.

I still send them, though not as many as I used to.

I don't do a newsletter.
I do write a little sentiment or note in them, appropriate to the person receiving it.

Yes we send them, and we do a family letter. We enjoy getting Christmas cards and family letters as well.
However, the number of cards we send is down by about half, because many we exchanged Christmas cards with have passed away.

Yes, we send out photo cards. We don't do a letter, but my wife will write a little something on the back of some of the cards.

We just sent out about 70 cards, photo cards full of pictures of the baby and the dog.

I send them, but have really scaled it down over the years. I mainly just said to my elderly Aunts that like to get pics of my kids along with the cards. I don't mind a letter, but most of the ones I get from people tend to be on the braggy side

We send about 40 cards. We don't do a newsletter, although we have included a link to our family blog. We haven't updated that blog in like a year, so I doubt we will include it this year.
