Christmas Candy Idea...

Last year, this time of year, someone posted a wonderful idea that I used and wanted to pass it along to everyone who "thinks ahead"...
All the stores have their Christmas Candy on sale now...some 75-90% off.
You buy the ones that are wrapped in silver and red and green, and separate them by colors...then wa-la... ..you have red and silver for Valentine's Day...and silver and green for St. Patricks Day. This is especially good if you need to make things for a classroom full of kiddo's! I can't take any credit for this...another Dis person told me about it....have fun!!!! Barb in Texas

I have been doing it for years but cannot take credit my mother the original candy fiend and bargain shopper has done this and even saves the silver for Easter. Candy has a really long shelf life and if you freeze it or store it in a dark room in an insulated bag with a sponge (dry) in it and it will keep for a year or more with no ill effects. Just be sure you do NOT put it near anything with a scent.

Don't forget the M & M's , they're great for cookies red for Valentines green for St pattys day .
