Christmas brunch recommendations?

I guess the title says it all. Where would you recommend Dh and I go for Christmas brunch? We are staying at a Disney Springs Hotel that has bus service to the parks, but aren't planning on a park day. We also will have a car, so we can go just about anywhere.

Also... if we eat at a Disney resort, would you recommend taking the hotel bus shuttle to a park and then a Disney bus to the resort, or would you drive? I know the traffic to the parks will be crazy, but is it less congested driving to the resorts?

I would choose something in DS or possibly go to AKL (Boma or Sanaa) using your own car to stay closer to the DS area and not venture too far into the WDW resort. People getting to resorts and parks are using the same roads. Traffic will be bad no matter how you slice it. Can you walk to DS from your hotel? If so, I would lean toward picking something there, but I would go early as the crowds will get bigger there as the day goes on. If you would consider dinner, the Waldorf in Bonnet Creek has some excellent restaurants and it shouldn't be terribly congested getting there.

Cap may character breakfast

Parking might be an issue. If you are heading there and back to your resort I would consider uber/lyft r/t or take the bus back to DS then walk back to your resort

Personally I would r/t. I don’t want to have my happy buzz full belly killed by getting on a bus, ymmv

Do you want a "traditional" Christmas Day brunch, or just somewhere to eat on Christmas Day. If you are looking for more traditional offerings, you need to check the Disney site to see which restaurants offer a special holiday meal - not all do.

Also, if you aren't going to the parks that day and are staying at a Disney Springs hotel, you might even look at other options out side of WDW.

That being said, we will be at Chef Mickey's for brunch on Christmas Day :-)

I guess I was wondering if there are any restaurants doing anything "special" because it's Christmas... maybe places that don't normally do brunch, or places that do brunch but will be doing something special because it's Christmas morning. Boma is our usual "go to" brunch. Will House of Blues be doing anything special, do you think?
