Christmas at the BCV, I can’t wait!!

We will be spending Christmas at the BCV for the first time, and I almost have all of our plans made. I got my Christmas Eve reservations for the Candlelight Precession, got the plane tickets, and car rental. We will be arriving on Christmas Eve morning, and will be heading straight to the parks. What I need help with is making plans for Christmas Mass. Is there a Catholic Church near the BCV, or is there some place on Disney that will have church service? This seams to be the last thing on my list of planning.

Thanks in advance for the help!

There is no longer a regular Sunday Mass but they seem to be continuing Masses for Christmas and Easter that are held at the Contemporary. Keep an eye out for that info as we get closer to Christmas.

A wonderful alternative is Mary Queen of the Universe Shrine. It is very near to DD and has Masses on both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. It was built solely to serve the tourists who come to Orlando so there is no worry about doing a regular parishoner out of their seat on Christmas. It is also beautiful.

www.maryqueenoftheuniverse.org will give you the info. Basically, you follow Buena Vista around to DD, turn right onto Hotel Blvd. (as if you were going to Goodings). You turn right and go under I-4. You'll take a left into Little Lake Bryan (I think it's a Landry's Restaurant at the turn) and follow that road around to the Shrine. It's been awhile since I've been down but I think if you go past the Shrine you'll be at the newer Premium Outlets, so the Shrine is probably now well-marked.

Congrats on your Christmas trip! I can't think of a more awesome time to be at WDW! DH and I were just talking the other day about how cool it would be to go to Candlelight Precessional on Christmas Eve or Day. Have a wonderful time! We've been 2 times and it's incrediable! As PamOKW said, Mary Queen of the Universe Shrine is beautiful. We went to Mass there on our summer trip.

Just a little side bar: at the Shrine they have names plates on the pews for people I'm guessing donated funds to the shrine. Well, out of all the places to sit (the place is really big) we sat down and I look up and the name on the plate is the priest who married us in 91'! It was so cool!:) We were married in Orlando, but he has been reasigned to CT. I think the Man upstairs had something to do with that!;)

Thanks for the help. I went to their website and it looks like a wonderfull place. Now that I know where it is, I know that my family will want to go every time we are there.
