We're going on the direct Eurostar on 20th December, staying at the Holiday Inn. I guess we get there late lunch time. We would really like to do the Mickey Christmas Dinner thing, if indeed there are still tickets left, but are wondering about the logistics of it. If we leave our suitcases in a locker in the station, we will have to go back into the station after 9 when the dinner finishes, catch the shuttle bus and then there will likely be a huge queue to check in the hotel, since I've heard this hotel is bad at check-in anyway.
I think this will just be too much for our 3 yr old.
Another option is to split up and one of us go to the hotel to check in when we get to DLRP, but DH doesn't want to do this and it isn't ideal.
The other option is we all go straight to the Holiday Inn when we get off the train, check in if we can at that time and then go to the parks. Likely to be rather unpopular with our children though.
Just can't decide what is best or whether to miss the Christmas Dinner altogether and just have a nice character lunch somewhere.
What would you do?

Well, as I'm on the same train as you and staying at the same hotel I am in the same position. I really want to do the Mickey thing too.

So, the plan is - go to Park for a couple of hours, putting luggage in storage. Then about 4 o'clock ish I want to go to the Hotel - figuring the shuttle buses shouldn't be too busy then. Check in and hope to be back at the Park by aboout 6 ish. That way I'm not finding my way to the Hotel for the first time in the pitch black, at the end of a busy day and dragging a suitcase along.

If you would like to have the Mickey Christmas Dinner (and i think i would :goodvibes ) then the best choice will be to go to the Hotel, check in, and then go to the Park, that is what we usually do but my kids are grown up anyway and so we dont have to cope with moaning little ones...
I dont think the first choice would be a popular one with us either anyway, the second could be better if hubby would sacrifice himself , try and look at him with flirting eyes :rolleyes2:rotfl:

Actually that could be a plan. Won't have to drag the kids away from the gates of DLRP, and get to actually see the hotel - I think they'll really enjoy seeing the room and the bunkbeds so would prefer not to do it really late at night so they get hyper. We are SO going to bump into each other!

DH doesn't want us to split up, I think he's worried we won't find each other for ages or there'll be a problem with check-in or something. I'll talk to him about it tonight though and maybe phone to book it tomorrow.

I can understand what he mean though i dont think there could be probs with check in - well there has never been with us in the past but you never know..
Hope you sort out what's best for you all :goodvibes

ULP - do you think they will be booked up already? I was thinking I would have plenty of time left to book it.:scared: I will be on that phone tomorrow....

I really don't know, I just imagine that with limited numbers it is the kind of thing that would get booked up - and it is the last one before Christmas. But for all I know they've got hundreds of tickets left!
