Hi everyone:wave2:

Can anyone help a lady who's about to go crazeeeee:crazy:

We're from the UK and are planning to spend the Christmas Holidays in Orlando (18th - 2nd Jan) (been to disney twice before).

(2 x grandparents 50ish, 2 x thirtysomethings and 1 just turned 16 year old).

I've been looking at hundreds of websites for ideas on what to do during our stay and am more confused now than when I started, so I really do need help. Any one out there who can give me tips and advice it would be really appreciated.

heres my dilemmas:

1. Got tickets to MVMCP on the 19th - which is the best area of the park to see the fireworks and parades (is anything else on?). Do any of the restaurants have great views to make it worthwile getting priority seats there?

2. Planning to revisit MK on Christmas Day - what time will we need to be there to get in?
Is it better to book a PS in MK for dinner, or leave around 7.00pm and eat outside (if so where?).
Can you book PS for breakfast?

3. Where do we go New Years Eve - i have ready many great reports on MK, Epcot, MGM and the Universal Studios and really can't make up my mind which one to go to. Any suggestions?
How early will we need to enter the park to ensure we are in there for midnight? Do they close early as they are full?
Any idea's on where to eat in whichever park you think is best?

As you can see, I really do need help - I'm a complete novice at this Christmas in Disney thing, although I just can't wait, I'm so excited (much to my 16 year olds dismay).

Please help....

I hope I can help a little -

If you are going to MK on Christmas Day you really need to get there within an hour of opening time. Be prepared for the crowds and be patient. If you go before then and do the rides (such as you going to MVMCP) and not anticipate wanting to do a lot of rides on Christmas Day then you will be good. Leaving around 7 is probably fine if you don't plan on coming back. I would not leave for other meals. They have a tendancy to close the parks once they fill and sometimes you can get back and sometimes you can't.

Epcot is awesome for NYE but I have heard the other parks are too. It would depend on what you really want to do. If you want to see Illuminations - then Epcot obviously. If you want to see Fantasmic - then MGM, etc. This is another day you will want to get to the park early and plan on staying there.

You probably won't get a good view of the fireworks or parade at MK for MVMCP at a restaurant. I believe Cindy's closes at a certain point. There are plenty of good places to go and eat though at MK but you won't be able to see the fireworks. You could also go and eat at one of the monorail resorts before MVMCP and then you can go straight on and do what you want when you get there.

Hope this has helped some.

I can't help you with questions 1 and 3.

As for #2: please understand that on Xmas Day MK will be JAMMED with people. Literally wall to wall. Do not expect to go on many rides/attractions that day. They usually close MK to new guests by around 10:00 or 11:00 am. It will reopen to new guests in the late afternoon.

Yes you can make PS for breakfast. PSs are necessary for that day. As for breakfast or dinner I think that's up to you. However, outside of Disney World many restaurants will be closed. If you don't stay in MK for dinner I'd suggest Epcot because it has some wonderful restaurants. However, all Disney restaurants should be open.

If you're looking to go to MK on Xmas just to say you were there then get there early and have a good time. If you're looking to go to a park where you can actually do things, stay away from MK. I'd recommned Epcot. Because it is more spread out it seems to handle the crowds better. Also, it attracts fewer children.
