I must be out of my Ho Ho Head, but my Wife has talked me into a Christmas Trip to DLP. 12th to 15th December @ the NY.

I have a few questions if you guys dont mind.

1. Is the ice rink i see outside the NYH open that time of year?

2. Is there a show at night? I think Dreams will be gone by then.

3. Is the Park busy this time of year?

4. Weather, is it normally cold or just wet in December?

5. Santa, i think i read you can visit him in the Park. do you book and pay for this or what way does it work.

6. We booked a Christmas theme room, is it worth it. Has anyone done this?

7. I think i also read there are some shows i the Park for Christmas, this true?

many thanks peeps.

ps how do i change the signature on my profile. been meaning to update it.,

Hi ManicDave, gotta disagree about being mad mate! Christmas at Disney, in my opinion, is the best time to visit!

1. Yes I've seen people skating on here at this time of the year

2. Even if Dreams isn't running by next Dec (though I think it will) I'd imagine there will be something in its place!

3. As its the weekend, it's pretty safe to assume it will be busy

4. We have been to DLP every Nov/Dec for the past 6 years and have seen it all sun/rain/frost/fog/snow keep pretty close the weather reports just before and then park accordingly

5. Yes, you can visit Santa, and there is no charge and you just turn up, but be prepared to wait! We went with my daughter and niece a few years back and waited TWO TO THREE HOURS to see him! I'd lost the will to live by the time we were seen!

6. Can't comment as have never had an Xmas themed room

7. Yes there used to be a show called Mickey's Winter Wonderland but that hasn't been on for the past year or so, and I don't know if they will bring it back next year! Though they do have the Christmas Cavalcade as a parade!

Hope this has been helpful?

Matt

Dave, I am pretty sure I have read that the ice rink is open at the HNY for the Christmas period.

Dreams WILL be on and what is more, it has been announced that there will be a special Christmas Dreams show this year!!!! Woop! No Mickey's Winter Wonderland or other shows though (boo!).

There will also be a new tree too.

I am working on the basis that it will be busy, but that can also give it even more atmosphere. And I will be packing ski gear thus allowing for cold AND wet! I believe it can get VERY cold indeed!

I have never been for Christmas and it is my birthday on Dec 12th, so we have booked to go from 18th - 22nd Dec this year as we cannot be away from home over Christmas itself unfortunately. I have given myself a birthday pressie of booking a Christmas room at the DLH. Am soooooo excited!

Our kids think we are staying offsite - when they realise we are staying in the DLH and then that we have a Christmas room will be awesome!

Thanks for that. we did look at the DLH but was very expensive.

this is now our 4th trip in less than 2 years. Is it possible to get anything out of Disney for being frequent visitor ?
