Hi Tonya! My Family and I went to the Christmas party. I have a few insites on it. My avatar picture is from that visit to DisneyWorld. As you can see we had ages from 4 years old to 52. The party starts at 4pm and goes until about 1am. My group was at he park at about 1pm. We ate Lunch at Cosmic Ray's. Shopped. Rode some rides. We got our bracelet's just after 4pm. We went for a sit down dinner at Be Our Guest, then started in Tomorrowland on Carousel of Progress. Got hot chocolate. Watched a Christmas show. We watched the early parade. Then walked over to Fantasyland for rides. By 9pm everyone was tired and wanting to go back to their room except me and my 11 year old grandson. So he and I were the only one's that stayed. I'm glad we got to do the Christmas party, but If I had known they all would have tired out so early, I would not have spent the money on tickets. It was a large expense to cover 10 people. We would have been fine without the party.

You had a huge group!!! Nice photo! I'm sorry your plans fell flat...
While I highly recommend MVMCP, I also recommend that folks use that time before the party as "relax" time. To not waste a park ticket for early entrance, but to wait until 4 pm for admission, use their 3 FPs during that time and also to eat during that 3 hour time. Most people don't recommend a TS, but we always look forward to relaxing at dinner. We went to BOG for dinner last year as well. Loved it!
Otherwise as you found out, it's just too long of a day and people are toast!
We have found by resting up prior to the party, our family has the stamina and the wherewithal to stay all the way up until the kiss goodnight.
I know the parties are not for everyone, but we've gone every year to either MNSSHP or MVMCP since 2005, with a break a couple of years between 2010 and 2012. So we've kind of found what works for us.
I hope someday you'll get a chance to experience it again!
