Christmas 2014 Trip Questions...

I know its a ways off but I'm taking my family to Disney for Christmas this year. I have read all the threads about the problems with the FP+ and bands. I realize it's just a guess, but what is everyones opinion of the problems with the systems being worked out by next December? Furthermore, we are rope drop people so we do get a lot acomplished early. Also, we will be staying on site through Christmas. We have been twice during the season but never actually stayed through Christmas. What are the recommendations on places to eat for Christmas dinner? Again, I know its a ways off but I do try and plan as best as possible. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

We will be there for Christmas, too. I love rope drop. You can get so much done. My plan is to eat at Biergarten on Christmas Eve and do the Candlelight Processional. For Christmas I am thinking Liberty Tree or Crystal Palace. I'm not quite sure yet.

Given how MB and FP+ has changed since it started, I'd say no one can give you even a semi-educated guess on what it will look like in 11 months. But, if you're a rope drop family, then I'd just plan on that and book your FP+ when they become available and consider it a bonus!

As for dinner for Christmas night, choose whichever restaurant is your family's favorite, but definitely make that ADR at the 180+10 date. If you're looking for really special...>California Grill has a new menu (ok, in 11 months it won't be new-new, but it will be new to you since it just came out in the last month or so). Then you can also watch the fireworks from their balcony. This gets you out of the parks when they'll be so busy, but still makes for a fantastic celebration!
