Well we just went for Christmas this year so I don't think we'd do it again.
It was lovely though (80's daily!) and as long as you get up and go for opening....plan to vacate the parks by 1pm and recoup at the hotel until evening it is fine.
It really is worth doing ..even when you see the christmas photos they just don't do it justice....you have to see it for yourself.
enjoy!
We're going. We're a family of 4, me, DW and our 2 DDs, 18 and 19.
Sure hope the Canadian $ does a little better before it all comes due in Nov.
I've started looking at flights and airfares to pick up on trends, but there is no trend, yet. Mind you, Northwest is the only airline even showing our dates on their schedule so far.
we bought tickets with united.ca last year for last christmas and then we got pregnant and decided to postpone til this christmas. so now i have to use the credit i have with united.....
i have to say, i hate united. they are so rude when you call them. 1 time i phoned and the person didn't even know where canada was?????? try and explain that one with a straight face after waiting 20 minutes to speak to someone!
i hope my kids (6, 4, 2 and new born) are still into going to wdw when they are 18 and 19 years old. i have a neice and nephew that are early teens and already think wdw is a 'drag'.
My DS and I and my friend and her son all going for Christmas! We leave Dec 5th for a 7 night Carribean cruise with Carnival and then fly into Orlando. We go to Disney on Dec. 13th for 4 nights and then begin our land portion of 7 day land and Sea package with Disney Cruise lines to the Bahamas! Then we are back to Disney on Dec 23rd - Dec. 28th /09!!!!
Staying at Disney's Port Orleans French Quarters!!!!!
We have our reservations for Fort Wilderness from 12/13/09 - 01/03/10. We will be towing our travel trailer from NB. This will be our 6th Christmas at WDW. We love it. Our children will be 15, 13, and 11 and still love WDW as much as their parents.
I hope you don't mind my asking, but will your family be staying on site or off? We're also a family of 6 and we'd love to stay on site during Christmas. However, the price of a villa at Christmas keeps me from doing anything more than dream.
Just wondering if you've found a good deal that might work for my family too. Meanwhile, I'll keep lurking around the DVC board and obsessively checking expedia.ca!
What a coincidence, we're staying at Windsor Hills for our summer trip! We rented through http://www.vacation-rentals4u.com/ for our first ever Windsor Hills stay. The resort looks beautiful and my 3 younger kids are excited about the pool.
I'd love to go but I don't think I could convince my DH to go after doing Alaska this summer. And...I want to do a carribean cruise next March- but mabie...hmmm...I'll know after our Alaksian cruise. But this pasy Christmas we said we would do it
