Booked up last night for Christmas and New Year 2009 at ASM. :yay: :yay:

£3100 for 2 Adults, 2 teens, full size car and insurance with Virgin for 3 weeks. Even the operator booking the holiday seemed surprised how cheap it was!
Gives us plenty of time to save up now and to think of something special to do on Christmas day. It just seems so far away but I'm sure it will come round quick enough.

That is an excellent price! Well done and happy planning... :woohoo:

Saturday 12th Dec. Should give us a week and a bit of fairly quiet parks before it gets really busy.

Glad you got it booked.
We have decided not to go next Xmas, price for us has increased, this Xmas we have paid £580 each Virgin hols flight and 9 nights hotel, Xmas 09, 1 day less but up £70 to £650. Paying less than that for 25 nights in August. Will watch for a flight only offer or it will be Xmas at home for a change.

That's a shame. We love Christmas there. Because we depart around the second week in December, it works out to be almost the cheapest time of the year. Also, Virgin for some reason, haven't charged us the peak season supplement this time.
We enjoyed spending Halloween there a few years ago but we can go for 3 weeks at Xmas cheaper than 2 weeks in October.

Owning a florist business unfortunately means working right upto 4pm Xmas eve. 1st day we can fly is Xmas day and have to back for school starting 1st Monday in Jan.
This will be our 5th Xmas there and its a fantastic time to go but I do prefer other times of year, October for Halloween or August for the weather, 100+ is perfect, not a cold weather person. We also love adding a cruise but Xmas and New year cruise prices are stupid.

I know what you mean about the weather. We've only been once outside of December and that was the end of October. It was much warmer than December (had a hurricane too!) but I think we were very lucky in December last year. For the first week we were still walking round in t-shirts at midnight and the only rain we had was Christmas afternoon. We were at Discovery Cove at the time in the lovely warm lazy river so that didn't bother us.

The 1st Xmas we did in 2000 was the coldest, ice on car every morning and coat, hat, scarf and gloves most days were essential. Had better ones since then.

That's always our worry. We had a couple of very cold days the first time we went. We'd packed jumpers and light coats but never believed anyone who said it could get that cold until we experienced it ourselves. Spent all day drinking hot chocolate and staying inside as much as poss.
Last time we went we packed winter clothes and never needed them...always better to be prepared though.
