does anyone know when the christmas decorations go up in Magic Kingdom this year?

They usually start going up in November. I know by the first weekend of December 2007 everything was up b/c of MVMCP going on.

They usually start mid-November. But to make sure, keep an eye out for the dates for Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. The decorations will be up for sure if the Christmas Party is going on. Have a great trip and happy planning!

I actually called WDW today (2/12/08) to ask if they had the dates yet for the MVMCP for 2008 and the guy said no. He said that the dates may come out around Labor Day.. but i am trying to book my vacation now to be there one of the dates of the party! But he did say it usually starts mid Nov.

when we went in 2006 for holween they started putting them up on november frist . because the next day after halloween we went to animal kingdom and the tree was already up stella

The dates for both MNSSHP & MVMCP are usually out mid April, with tickets being sold as of May 1st. Just watch the boards or www.wdwinfo.com for the dates.

The dates for MVMCP is ususally announced May 1st. The decorations for Xmas go up right after Halloween, when Iwas there in Nov 11-18 last year, most of the decorations were up... Going next Nov 14 can't wait for the Xmas party and decorations.
