I've done some quick work today and have made these plans for our Christmas at WDW. We will continually watch for better prices and deals, including Resort codes and AP codes, but wanted to get something booked just in case ...
Dates: Arrive Friday, 12/19; depart Sunday 12/28/2003
DELTA airfare from Iowa to MCO: Credits from taking an overnight bump March 2003.
HOTEL is Hotel Royal Plaza in DTD. Used Mousesavers code (Mary's website) and have all 9 nights, including taxes and resort fees for $950. These rooms sleep 5 and we have 3 children this time.
RENTAL CAR is Budget for 12/19 - 12/28 is $355, including all taxes and costs for a Full size, 4-door (Ford Taurus). Looking at the other rental agencies and applying all codes that could be found, this was by far the best deal ... and it was WITHOUT a code. Believe it or not, using any of the BUDGET rental codes actually increased the price!!
I know for anyone spending their first Christmas at WDW, it is hard to plan the economis in advance because discounts are few and far between. We've used AP rates the last 2 year, but needed a room for 5 this Christmas. We'll see what the AP rates do in 2003 for those Resorts that allow 5. And yes, we'll consider 2 adjoining rooms, if the prices are right.
Any comments or suggestions are welcome. Thanks to everyone on these Boards ... you'll all great !
