Christine & Jason's Trip Report- UPDATE Post #21

So now that we are home, I can now inform the general public.

On our first night in Disney (10/4/10), Jason proposed to me and I, of course, said YES! How did he do it, you ask? Well, I'll tell ya.

I was hoping that the proposal was going happen in Disney. We had stopped back at the room after our dinner at Boma to unpack our bags. I got bummed out because he was unpacking in front of me without flinching. I naturally, thought that he was not going to propose at all with him unpacking in front of me. Then, we headed our way to MK to catch MSEP. We were sitting in Liberty Square waiting for the parade and I was acting moody. Jason kept telling me that I better get happy, because he likes to see me smile. I then lightened up and remembered that we were on vacation and the last thing one wants is to be on vacation with a party pooper.

After the parade, we decided to walk around instead of seeing Wishes because we knew that we were seeing it on Saturday night. We then went to Tomorrowland to try to get on Space Mountain. We were so close when the ride shut down. We were able to get FP though. We then headed back towards Main Street and walked through the tunnel of the castle. This is where I got nervous because Jay had always said that he wanted to ask me to marry him in the beginnig of the tunnel. Needless to say, I held my breath. We then headed over to my favorite part of the castle, which is the the bronze statue of Cinderella. The area was a little crowded because people were waiting for pictures with Pluto...
Jay brought me to the side and told me how much he loved me. That's all I remember him saying because I was in shock and crying so much. There was one family who had seen the event taking place and clapped for us. I asked Jay what he had said and he told me that he loved me so much and that would I make his dreams come true by becoming his wife.

I was looking at my ring all night and week. We decided to live in the moment and tell family and siblings the next day. This goes without saying, this was the most MAGICAL trip I have ever had. Thank you to my fiance and Disney for making my dreams come true.

I would like to say that we are planning a Disney wedding, but a Disney engagement is right there. As of now, we are planning a Fall 2012 wedding.

Thanks to all who have followed my trip report. Maybe I'll start a wedding planning report. Nah.

Congrats on the engagement!! :woohoo: What a 'magical' way to end your trip report... I love it!! (made me cry at 6:30 in the morning... my husband wants to know if I'm okay... :lmao:) I am SO happy for you two... :goodvibes 2010 will be here before you know it.
