Christie Brinkley on Today Show this morning

Add Christie Brinkley to the extreme plastic surgery list. I just saw her on the Today Show and she doesn't even look like herself. No wrinkles, nothing moves on her face, her eyebrows are frozen in an extreme surprised position and her eyes are just different. She was so pretty and had such an iconic face. It is just sad that people don't think they are allowed to age. She is turning 60 but must feel like she needs to look 20.

Really? I missed it, but I'm surprised. She has been on Parks & Rec a few times lately and always look wonderful. That's too bad.

That really is a shame because I remember when she turned 50 she probably still could have passed for 30. I haven't seen her lately either.

I'm watching it right now and I disagree. I think she looks good. Maybe a bit too botoxed but still think she looks gorgeous. I don't really like her though from interviews I've seen.....seems phony.

She was on another talk show recently with her youngest daughter, who happens to a mini me of Christie. Phony, yeah there is something about her that isn't real anymore.
All I kept thinking while everyone is stating how much they look alike is:
poor Alexis. Not that there is anything wrong with her, but to live in that shadow has got to be hard.

But I think she looks fantastic - and not just for her age talk. I think she looks beautiful and strong and often not so done or off as some plastic surgery addicts do.

I'm sure she does some things. But not a lot. I think a lot of her kept beauty comes from being a vegetarian from a young age and always being active. It definitely shows.

And I also feel the same a la her personality as some PPs. I noticed years ago with pictures of her children over the years - she's always looking at the camera - always even when they aren't - never ever looking towards her children as is a natural candid shot for a lot of women in photos with their young ones by their side. It shows a need to be seen in my opinion.

But regardless of my babble, I think she looks fantastic.

It wasn't her looks that struck me. It was how incredibly dumb she sounded. She was asked if there was ever a picture used that she didn't like and she went on and on about her time in "Con-coon" Mexico. I'm assuming she meant Cancun. Anyway she talked about how the staff wanted to know if she wanted them to pick her fresh fruit or go catch her a fresh fish for lunch. Huh??? She's a ding bat in my opinion.

I don't care for her plastic surgery either. I didn't see her on the Today show but she's made a few appearances on Parks and Rec and I definitely noticed it there and thought "what a shame." I think she would have done well letting it go a bit more.

I understood you, Asta. But we simply disagree.

I think she's verbally awkward and seems like a woman who didn't have to cultivate much of a personality. But regardless, I think she looks great - irregardless of age. But I didn't see her today - so maybe something has changed.

And I hate plastic surgery in most cases.

But with her, I've never thought she looked off.

I thought she seemed very botoxed but she is still as beautiful as ever. And yes it seems she did ramble on and on but she was known as a model most of her life so I didn't expect that much more from her.
Just recently I heard a Katy Perry interview and she sounded just as annoying!

Brooke Shields co-hosted part of Today a couple weeks ago and Christie looks 10x better than Brooke did.

I think she looks stunning - especially for her age. So what if she's had some plastic surgery? Her looks are what's made her a multi millionaire. I don't think it's overdone at all compared to some. Her body is also in amazing shape. There is no doubt she works out hard and eats right to look good.

I completely agree. She looks fantastic. She looks better at 60 than I did at 20. ugh!

I agree, she looks amazing.
Why do people have issues with older women (and men) who have plastic surgery? There is nothing wrong with using what is available to keep yourself looking how you want. I'm one of those people who thinks aging stinks, if I could look like Christie when I was 60 I'd do it too.

I don't think Christie looks especially overdone, at least in those pictures, but some of the (celebrity) people who do surgery look AWFUL. Their faces are stretched and weird and don't move, their mouths are bizarre.....I can't believe they think they look better like that! I prefer people in their natural state, I guess. Sometimes I feel like I'm in the episode of the Twilight Zone where all the pig people were considered beautiful! It seems like plastic surgeries just lead to more surgeries and more weird looking people.

Some of them look barely human.
