Chrismiss56 Looking For A Healthier Lifestyle Journal (Comments and Friends Welcome)

My kids start school on Thursday and I am just as excited as you are. Sorry to hear your having a hard time with the store manager but some people are just like that and you will never be able to change them. Just try and keep a smile on your face. Maybe the other 2 nice managers will offset the other one for you. Good luck this week.

Kristin

Good Morning to all!!:sunny: :sunny:

It is rainy and gloomy here today. We are suppose to have rain off and on the rest of the week.

Phone rang at 6:15 this morning to let me know I have a sub assignment for this Friday and she will probably call again tomorrow. Not ready to go back to work but really need the money. Bad thing.......if I don't work I don't get paid::yes:: ::yes::

Decided for the time being to stay with the WW Flex instead of the new program. One of my problems is portion control so I think until I feel comfortable with that I should stay with the original program. Thoughts?

I am doing fine with the points - actually there are days I am struggling to get them all in. Have not been on the scale in a few days. Actually scared!!

Still have not turned on the DVD (think I have a mental block going there:laughing:  I have been focusing on walking on the treadmill and outside :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

DD (16 yr old) got her driver's license yesterday..........another gray hair is born!!

Off to take a shower but first some stomach crunches.....

Have a Disney Day!!::MickeyMo ::MickeyMo

Way to go Linda! Sounds like everything is coming together. The treadmill works...it's all about what exercise you like...I find that if I don't like the exercises, I find excuses not to exercise. Doesn't sound like you really want to do those videos yet.

Keep up the great work...glad to see you have some sub jobs coming your way. We don't start until Monday, and the VP(at my DD school) said she has some days available.

Take care!

Gail

Good Morning all!!

First day of subbing...........I have a first grade class on the first full day of school YIKES!!  They will be very needy. Just hoping the teacher left lesson plans otherwise it could be a looooooooooooooong day.

Tonight working at the Disney stores so yes it will be a loooooooooooong day::yes:: ::yes:: First time the two jobs have met.

WW is going fine - weighed myself yesterday (couldn't help it) and I have lost 4 lbs but as you all know that can change moment to moment. My official weigh in day is tomorrow. Keeping fingers crossed.

Exercise - the bane of my existance. Did some abs this am? But have to set the alarm clock earlier so I can get something substantial in.

Daughter (16 yr old) driving herself to school for the first time as we speak.........More gray hairs are being born.:scared: :scared: Say some prayers and keep those fingers and toes crossed.

Have a Disney Day!::MickeyMo

Sounds like you had a busy day! And of course those needy first graders can pluck your nerves:rolleyes: I love those kids, but you know how it is to get a group! And not to mention that they don't even know the routine yet. Hope the teacher had some good plans. You'll get in some exercise with them! I usually get plenty walking those halls.

I always take a peek at the scale! I'm a scalaholic. Good luck on your "official" weigh in day!

Have a great day!:sunny:

Gail

Wow Linda,

I am sending extra :wizard: for you. What a long day. I give teachers all the credit in the world, but to be subbing on the 1st day of school, :worship:

Hope all goes well,
Beth

ANNOUCEMENT OF THE MOMENT!!

Hopped on the scale today for my first official WW weigh in and I have lost 5 pounds!!!:jumping1:

And the crowd goes WILD!!!!:thewave:

I am very excited if you haven't figured it out!!

Just hoping it will continue.

Still not exercising as much as I should but working on it. Decided to stay with the points system on WW and so far so good. Would be really nervous to try the CORE program - afraid I would eat out of control::yes::

As for subbing - there were no lesson plans:eek:

Yesterday was very stressful because not only did the kids not know anything but me the teacher didn't either!!

Today was much more comfortable in the same room (Teacher's father passed away so I will be there at least until next Wednesday. Spent the entire day teaching them the basics - raise their hand when they want to say something, stand in a line (not even trying for a straight one yet hard enough just getting them into one line:crowded:

So the next week I will be drawing on my Mom Skills!! At 11am they asked me if it was time to go home (they leave at 3:15) - they also asked why there was no bathroom in the classroom (had one in kindergarten!!:D

It is going to be a loooooooooooooooooooooooooong week:D ;)

Have a Disney Day!!::MickeyMo ::MickeyMo

Linda, I admire you so much!! :worship: I love kids but only 1 or 2 at a time. :p The thought of a room full of first graders at the beginning of a school year would give me nightmares for weeks! Thanks for all you do for each and every one of those little ones! :flower3:

:thewave: 5 POUNDS GONE!!!! :thewave:

Congratulations!! You're doing great!! Keep up the good work! I think sticking with the WW plan you know for now is a great idea, especially with the subbing you're doing. Maybe when things settle down a bit, you'll have the time and energy to devote to trying the new plan. All in good time.

Hope you have a great day today!! :sunny:

Linda,

Here's :wizard: for you. You'll need it with 30 6 year olds.

CONGRATULATIONS ON LOSING 5 POUNDS!!!!! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

Keep up the great work. As long as the flex points program works for you, why mess with it?

Have a great day,
Beth

Linda,

Wow! What a busy week you have had! ::yes:: I hope you get a chance to relax this weekend.

Congratulations on the weight loss!:jumping1: That is great!

I hope that you have a great weekend!

Tracy:wave:

Hi Chrissmas- You are doing great! And you have only just begun. 5 pounds gone- so that is like a releif of 25 pounds off of your knees!!! Incredible.
I also sub for little ones at my kids school 1st and 2nd grade. It's a trip!
Keep doing what you are doing-
Mary:D

Saturday night and life is tiring!!

:p :p

I found out I will be continuing with the same first grade class all next week:eek: They are very cute:) BUT exhausting. By the end of the day I am tired of hearing myself speak!!

They are too cute especially when they ask me at 11am if it is time to go home. Had one little boy fall asleep!! Around one went to the bathroom and never came back because he decided that he needed to see his 5th grade sister.  Fortunately the librarian caught him wandering. WHEW!!

Anyway between the first graders and the Disney Store my exercise plan is really taking a back seat.

Yesterday and today were not the best with planning my points on WW. I am afraid to get on the scale so I won't until Thursday (official weigh in day).

Tomorrow is a brand new day - went to the grocery store and am well prepared for the week. Working at the Disney Store 12noon to 730pm:sad2: :sad2: Have had a chat with my manager, now that I am subbing 5 days a week I really need one day off on the weekend to regroup. Even God took the 7th day off::yes::

Off to bed for much needed sleep.

Thanks to all who post on this journal. :sunny: :sunny: It helps me get through the day.

Have a Disney Day!!::MickeyMo

Whew...:faint: you're making me tired! But just think of all that $$$$ for subbing right at the start of the school year! I have a few days scheduled for Sept...and possibly going to do a maternity leave for a 5th grade class from Nov. to Jan. I'm really looking forward to a couple days to myself! I've had my own kids ALL day long all summer...I need a break! They start Monday!

Just keep within your points range and fit in a little exercise a few times this week. Even though you are probably getting plenty by working so much!

Take care...and have a good week with those little darlings!

Gail

I think this week you just need to concentrate on your points. If you are that exhausted, I think exercise can wait. The last thing you need is to become ill. Get some rest tonight, so you can make it through tomorrow.
Beth

Good heavens, Chrissmas- You are a busy girl. I agree with Beth. Stay on track with eating and pick back up on excersise when things slow a bit. You must be exhausted with that schedule.
You really seem to "get it" as far as what you need to do to be on track. Like planning- for instance. Going to the store and having healthy stuff you need- planning your points. That is half the battle.
Keep up the good work.
I think your life sounds fun- filled with 6 years olds and Disney.
Mary:sunny:

Wow your schedule is insane. I would work on your pts...excersise will come naturally. Keep up the great job.

Kristin
