I used to homeschool so dd had many chores until 2nd grade (empty dishwasher, laundry, clean room and playroom). Then she started school and it seemed that between school, homework, and cheer she had no extra time at all. So for a year and a half I have done most every thing. About half the time I would even put away her laundry because she honestly had no time on laundry days (ie 45 minutes after school to eat, homework, change and get ready for cheer).
Well now 9yo (4th grade) she is back to homeschooling, so I need to make up a chore chart. What do 9/10yo's do? She is still very busy. I would think no more than 30 minutes a day is available for chores. So what do your kids do? One reason why I HS is so dd can have some downtime. I don't want her to be overwhelmed, just want her to enjoy being a kid.
BTW we have no pets now so don't need that.
