When U Have Booked Your Resort & You Put In A Request For A Specific View/Room How Likely Are You To Get It:confused3 :confused3 Just Wondering If Anyone Really Does Get What They Request:confused3 :confused3
:)

It depends on a lot of things. I would say we are a little over 50% on getting requests. You see some posters that get them all the time but recently have seen some that say they NEVER got their request.

I would say it depends on:
1. Time of year - how crowded the resort is so how flexible can the room assigners be.
2. How specific is the request. The more general, the more likely it can be fulfilled. If you ask for a specific building that is pretty general. If you ask for a specific building, specific floor, facing a certain direction that is getting pretty specific.
3. Luck.

I don't think even the most experienced people on these boards know enough of the statistics to be able to say how many requests get answered.

I agree with the pp that it really just depends. Before Disney changed to all non-smoking, a non-smoking room was our only request and it was always granted :goodvibes. But last September we stayed at the Poly for the first time and we requested Samoa, first floor, volcano pool side (in that order) and we were granted 2 out of the 3 (we were facing the quiet pool, which was ok because it was a very pretty view). But they were willling to switch us the next morning to the volcano pool side but we stayed put and enjoyed it :). With that said, I really do think it just depends on the CM checking you in, the availability and so forth because many have said they checked in very late at night and feel they got the worse room there was.....but when we got our requests at the Poly, we didn't check in until around 12:30-1:00 a.m. and it was during free dining....so I don't think all the rooms that nobody wants are all that's left late at night....I think it just comes down to many factors other than being the last one to check in .

I'm one of those lucky ones that have always got what I requested. But then I also give them chocolate when I check in. Is that bribery? :confused3 :rotfl:

When you leave mousekeeping a few dollars, is that bribery? When you leave your restaurant server 20%, is that a bribe? How nice to show your appreciation of the great job these cm's do by giving a nice gift of chocolate! I'm sure they appreciate it. :rotfl2:
