Hi, we are flying on the VS075 and were assigned seats 35 ACDEF. I have now changed it to 44AC and 45AC and 44D. This means we have 2 window seats and one middle seat for DH. We have 3 daughters.

Have I made a good choice? Eldest DD has special needs and wants to be near to the loos. I have no idea whether I have selected the worst seats on the plane.lol We have requested the bulkhead seats but won't know if we can have them until check-in.

I hate making decisions with no experience!

Seat guru says 2 of the seats are 'poor', presumably because they are right in front of the loos.

Can everyone FEEL my stress????:rotfl:

We are also a party of 5 and we try and get seats at the back of the plane if possible, we get the last row of 3 and then the first row of when they merge into only 2 seats at the side. This works well for us as its 2 window seats and also nobody has to sit next to someone they don't know.

We're a party of 5 this time round and those are the ones we have selected. Just hope we can keep them at online check in!

We try to remember to use SeatGuru before we pick seats they are usually pretty accurate whatever aircraft you are seated on. It pays to check you are not too close to the lavatory as the queues can often become long. Leg room is also important to us and since us adults both have back pain it is good to have the room to reposition once in a while too. Hope you get the seats you want.:)

We always go for the seats at the back of the plane now, on the 747 its the two seats together, as you get a lot more space to move about on the side of you and don't have to ask people to move if you want to go to the loo etc. On that note we have never had a problem with the loo's being so close with either queues or smells. The downside to these seats are you will be last of the plane! We find the worst seats are the ones near to the gallies when coming back on night flights, as the cabin crew are constantly in and out and the light is always on and they all stand in there chatting, its not at all relaxing. Also not too keen on the emergancy exit ones as everybody stands in this space and you can't stretch your legs out all the time, if you do you get right dirty looks sometimes. (wouldn't care but I've paid for that extra space!).:)

I'm really hoping to get 2 bulkhead seats for me and DD. I just hope DH and the other 2 DD's don't mind sitting next to the loos if they move us...

I have selected a window seat and the one next to it for my two DD's who are 8 and 5. DH will be sitting across the aisle from them. Do you think that will be OK? Has anyone else done this?

We flew out on VS075 on th 8th Oct, we had seats 43 AC & D - two together and one opposite on the row of four (for me as DD & DH love to look out of the window). The plane was the new airbus and the seats were right on the wing, i'd say we were probably about eight or nine rows ahead of the toilets (but can't be sure as I hate flying so I don't notice much through my terror!).

We had no probs with me being across the aisle - the seats were level with each other, not like on an older Virgin plane where they were slightly behind (that was at the back of the plane though).

HTH! :)

Sounds promising!:thumbsup2
My friend works for Virgin and says that he thinks my choices are fine. He has told me to check-in 3 hours before the flight if I want different seats or 2 hours before if I'm happy with my choices.

One more question: should I get the bulkhead seats for me and DD if they are available or keep all of us together?? Decisions decisions!
