Choose my office!

OK - I'm being really indecisive about this and I figured why not let a bunch of DIS friends and complete strangers help!

I get to choose one of 2 new offices. Both have identical furniture and are in the same building (next door to each other.)

One (Let's call it Daisy125) is slightly larger - about 12 by 15
The other (Let's call it Minnie124) is probably 10 by 15

Minnie124 has a window, Daisy125 doesn't.

Which would you choose - larger or window??

I'd go for the window! I like lots of natural light.

Window, no question. I work in a windowless cave. I have to go out to the lobby to see outside.

I have to have a window---I get grumpy without natural light, plus I like to keep an eye on the weather since I'm a weather nut.

If the layouts of the room are like I think they are...the bigger one only gives you a 2x15 extra section. Not enough to count for much. It isn't like you really can add on to the existing furniture in the office.

Go for the window.

That way you can always day dream looking outside.

I worked in an office without a window one year and I hated it!!!

Definately go with the window! It was the only time I had my own office and I preferred sharing a window over my own office

My office doesn't have a window to the outside, my boss has two windows, so in order to get any air, I have to climb on a ladder to open them and then open the slider window from his office into mine so I can get a breeze!

He also has the heat and a/c... me? I have a fan I bought myself and an electric heater that I have to hide during the winter so no one will take it from me. I have a note on my light switch to make sure I shut it off before I leave.

window. no question. I'd trade two feet of space for a window. I cant even stand to have curtains or a shade over windows if its the only one in the room. I feel like I'm suffocating.

the window is what will get you through the day a lot better than having a slightly larger office. And its better on your eyes too i think

In my building, the window offices are considered the premium offices regardless of size.

Window! It'll make your office feel bigger than it really is. I think I'd go crazy without my window!
