I am curious what WDW restaurants others have or have not eaten at due to what they have read under this board.
* What restaurants have you steered clear of?
* What restaurants have you eaten at?
because of what you have read about them on this board?

Us:
Steered clear: Nine Dragons; Alfredo's; Tony's (for spaghetti); Planet Hollywood
Tried: Flying Fish; Bistro

What WDW restaurants have you tried and don't agree (for the most part) with what you have read about them on these boards?
(Us -- CA Grille)

To me, it's the same with WDW restaurants, resorts and pins: One person's trash is another's treasure. ;) And I am glad we don't all want the same! :)

This trip we are booked with a meal plan. In the past we have for the most part done counterservice. So when planning this trip I have relied almost entirely on these forums.

We have decided to try the following restaraunts because of reading the posts here:
Boma
Kona cafe
Narcoossee's
Wolfgang Puck's

Despite many of the post here, we are still going to do:
luau
Coral reef
Fulton's

These boards are wonderful. I have gotten so much great info here that I never knew about. I found out about Cinderella's gala feast the first day it was available.
Thank you so much everyone for all your expertise. I can now say I am an expert on Disney!!!

I have always steered clear of Nine Dragons because of these boards. (That's about to change because of these boards. I think we're going to try that new lunch special.)

I ordered the grapefruit cake at BD because of all the raves and hated it.

I tried the famed cheese soup at Le Cellier and disliked it.

I thought the potato wrapped snapper and lava cake at FF were greatly overrated.

I'm going to have to give Cali Grill another try. So many folks can't be that wrong!

I think the raves about Boma and many other places have been well deserved.

Will be trying over the next two trips.

FF
Citricos
Narcoosees
V&A

Really haven't stayed away from any since I'm one of the more vocal about the bad and my taste don't let me wander too much.

Tried:
'Ohana - LOVED IT!
LTT (Character Dinner)- Overrated
Le Cellier- enjoyed, cheese soup just OK

Have not steered clear of any eateries in WDW due to this board.

Tried because of the posts:
Ca. Grill (excellent)
Brown Derby (good)
Le Cellier (lousy)

Want to try:
Artist Point
Narcossee's

Steering clear:
Nine Dragons
Coral Reef

I am crazy about food reviews so I use this board a lot!

Because of the posts here I am still stearing clear of Alfredo's. The prices for pasta keep me away also.

I've also never done Chef Mickey as a result of feedback here. I get the feeling that it is ummm... chaotic perhaps? If the food were stellar I would still brave it but I get the feeling that is not the case.

I have avoided the Whispering Canyon Cafe for the same reasons.

I love seafood and if I wasn't reading these boards I am sure I would have tried Captain Jacks and Fultons by now. I haven't gone since there are so many other options at the resorts for good seafood.

As for places that I went to because of great recommendations...

Le Cellier for Cheddar Cheese Soup... loved it.

Brown Derby for Cobb Salad... loved it.

Sci Fi Dine In for Cheeseburgers only! ... loved it.

Restaurant Akershus for gravlax... loved it.

Cinderella's Royal Table breakfast... just had to find out what all the fuss was about!

Aloha Isle Dole Whip... didn't love it.

Jiko at Animal Kingdom Lodge for the Filet... loved it... three times... dream about it!

Kona Cafe for the Beef Tenderloin Salad.... loved it.

House of Blues for the Blackened Voodoo shrimp... fantastic.

I realize now that I tend to go to restaurants for a specific dish rather than basing my decision on the whole restaurant. Weird...

There a few places I went to that were not recommened and I am glad I didn't take the reviews as gospel.

Loved the lunch at Nine Dragons and the breakfast at Hollywood and Vine...
