Hi everyone ,

I've been searching these boards at every chance in preparation for a aanniversary trip for DH and myself ( no kids).

Background :

Me : Grew up and raised in Florida w/WDW. Have never stayed on site.
Have not been to WDW since 2005 and then only MK.

DH : Spent one day at WDW when he was a kid - does not really remember much.

We are upgrading to premier Passholders this December and this will be our only trip to Orlando for quite some time we imagine as we live just six hours away from DLR. We will be arriving in late March/Early April 2014 for 11 days/10 nights. We would prefer to not switch resorts.

I have been debating between a few resorts but appreciate any personal feedback.

Contemporary : As a kid always loved this idea. Love it's so close to MK and has monorail service. Pool area looks small but bay view looks great.

Beach Club : I love how it is so close to Yacht Club and has a great really vacation feel to it. Pool areas look great and dining options seem plentiful between BC and YC. The water views seem beautiful and I love the idea of the balconies overlooking the water/pool areas.
As we are staying at the Paradise Pier in DLR n December I wonder it if will be too similar..

Animal Kingdom Lodge : We are both animal lovers and think the idea of a Savannah room but not sure if this is a resort we want to spend a lengthy stay at but will probably visit a few times for the atmosphere and Boma for sure.

I'm pretty torn at this point because we definitely are looking for the most bang for our buck but plan to take it easy and not go full on commando style at the parks. Being able to see the fireworks from our resort would be a definite bonus.

Being non summer season -
Do you think we would get much use out of the pool facilities ?

Are they typically heated ?

In your opinion which resorts have the best views and why ?

Is late March/Early April a good time for WDW or is there a time besides the holidays you prefer ?

I appreciate ANY suggestions and while I have read all the FAQ threads I am hoping for some recent feedback. Thanks !

We go around that time of year and the weather is usually very nice. We always use the pools. My favorite resort is the BC because you can be in Epcot in 10 min, it's my favorite park! The atmosphere is great and you have the boardwalk as well with a lot of dining choices . It all depends on what you prefer. If you like MK more and plan to spend more time there then CR would be a better choice for you. Each resort has their own special feel you really can't go wrong whatever you pick!
