A few toss ups -- just tell me which you would prefer:

For a 1st night dinner (on a Sat. night): ESPN Club OR Cape May Buffet OR Take-Out Pizza (from somewhere)?

For Lunch: Beaches and Cream OR Dolphin Fountain

For Dinner (ALSO YOUR 14th ANNIVERSARY... but you're choosing to spend it with family -- a party of 9!): Ohana OR The Castle OR Whispering Canyons? (or anything else easily reached from MK?)

And would you (a) go to CP for bfast or (b) go to CP for lunch, given that it will be summer time (i.e., will a big meal at noon make us feel like hot toads in the road, or will bfast make us feel like we're wasting those precious morning hours? WHich is the better value? DD needs her Piglet fix!)

FWIW, our group includes 4 adults and 5 kids (ages 9,8,4,4 yrs,and infant 8 mos).

THANKS for all/any help, Folks!

Boy, that first night's a tough one! I've been wanting to try both places, but I'd probably go with Cape May for a first night. That's just me, though, and it's because we stay at the Beach Club and we usually arrive on a Saturday. ESPN on a Saturday evening could be pretty busy, and they don't take PSs.

Beaches & Cream vs. the Dolphin Fountain -- We love Beaches & Cream and go every time we visit, but I've heard good things about the Dolphin. Personally, I think we'll stick with B & C unless we just happen to be in the area of the Dolphin and want a snack.

For the anniversary dinner, I'd pick 'Ohana. We've done Whispering Canyon and 'Ohana as a large group, and although WC was fun and tasty, we enjoyed 'Ohana much, much more. In fact, everyone left there LOVING it and vowing to go back, again, next time.

Crystal Palace is one of our breakfast traditions. I LOVE their Puffy French Toast! We usually make a PS for 10 or 10:15 a.m. on an early entry morning. That gives us two hours to do the rides before a late breakfast/early lunch. We're usually "good to go," then, until dinner time. (You'd be surprised how much you can get done in two hours on an EMH morning!)

This is all just one person's opinion, though. Whatever you choose, have a great time! I wish we were going again sooner than October.

263 days and counting . . . again!

1st night: Have done both! Both are good!

Lunch-?

Anniversary dinner-CRT(Castle)

Crystal Palace-anytime is good!

1st night: ESPN club

CP for Lunch

CP is great for lunch on early entry day at the MK - you get into the MK early have fun, head to CP for lunch and out of the park while the crowds are the biggest.

Anniversary dinner- Wispering Canyon

I haven't eaten at either but if it were my decision, I would choose Cape May for my first nights dinner.

Lunch-Beaches N' Cream gets my vote

For your anniversary dinner, my vote is Ohana. It was great. The food is great and the ambiance is good too.

If your daughter likes Piglet, I would go to Crystal Palace instead of CRT. It is Pooh based and I can't wait to take my little one there.

Definitely Cape May the first night. If everyone is too tired to go out Spoodles take out window had some okay pizza.

Beaches and Cream hands down. I've eaten at both since September and Beaches and Cream still gets my vote.

With the 4 adults going any chance you two could sneak away for an anniversary dinner. Just a thought. I'd go to Artist Point. The food is incredible and the presentation to die for. They treated my fiancee and myself like royalty. If this is not a can-do then definitely do Ohana's. Second best meal of our December trip. Try to schedule your PS near the fireworks time.

I would do CP over CRT b/c this is just my opinion here but CRT can be overrated. Everytime we have eaten at Crystal Palace the character interaction has been awesome. Have fun planning.

If you go the pizza route, I'd pick up the phone book and have Giordano's deliver a pizza to your room..........................

That's some of the best pizza I've ever had (chicago style), and I live in the pizza capital of the world..........the NY metro area...:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

'Ohana is fun with a crowd! And Happy Anniversary!

Just my choices but here goes:
Ist night dinner - ESPN Club

For lunch: DEFINITELY Beaches and Cream!

Anniversary dinner with family: Ohana. We did a family birthday party there and all enjoyed food and atmosphere. The atmosphere at the castle is lovely but the food inconsisitent, and more of a fun family atmosphere at Ohana in my opinion.

Breakfast or lunch at CP? In the heat of the summer I would choose lunch. Even with p.s. there can be decently long waits at breakfast and I think you'd rather be hitting the rides and attractions while it is cooler in the morning and then taking a break in the air conditioning there at lunch.

First night dinner: Cape May Cafe
For Lunch: Beaches and Cream
For Dinner: 'Ohana

Hey there-

Hmmm... that first night IS a tough one. Got to go with Cape May, though. Just a personal preference-- Cape May has a lot of food and if you have any seafood lovers in your group, I think it's a winner.

Lunch: Beaches and Cream. If you wanted to try something else, the "Fresh" buffet at the Dolphin has been winning some raves and is open for lunch.

Dinner: Ohana. For the simple reason that you have 3 youngish children and I think that would be a great environment where everyone would enjoy the food and have fun. Just be SURE it's noted on your PS that it's your anniversary.

Finally: CP for breakfast, and early. Crystal Palace ALWAYS seems busy and is very popular. I generally prefer the early time simply because the crowds are way down from what they would be at 10am or even a noon lunch.

Hope this helps!
