I was planning to use Choice having had a terrific rate and deal thru them on car hire for my last visit to Orlando in October 02. However, I'm informed that they have ceased trading.

So, aside from the actual Car hire companies, can anyone else point me at a good company for cheap hire for this coming christmas ?

I'm quite happy to book over the net, so any suggestions will be happily received.

Thanks all !

Hi - you could try Airline Network

We have hired a 7 seater mini van for 3 weeks for £572. This includes all insurances with no excess, taxes, extra drivers and a tank of petrol:) A tip....once you get the headline prices screen, select the vehicle you're interested in and you should get special offers (e.g. select full size and it gives you a platinum upgrade option at a REDUCTION in the original quote!).

Good luck.

Wow AMF,

£576 is very cheap - £190 per week with extra drivers - the cheapest I've been quoted was approx £240!! Off to have a look now.

Thanks

Lisa

Unfortunately I've been quoted £501 for 2 weeks with the additional drivers & tank of petrol for a 7 seater. Typical

Just edited = £501 for 16 days and btw I've been on all the other sites recommended plus opodo, expedia, hertz, ebookers and airline network is still the cheapest.

Thanks for the link!!

Hi Lisa....I've just gone into the Airline Network website and the quote I've received for 2 weeks for a 7 seater mini van is £374, including all insurances, taxes etc. The dates I put in were October, but their prices don't seem to vary.

I too was amazed at their price...cheaper than most company's price for a 4 door full size. Would it be worth enquiring again...just in case their web site was playing up?:D

We too booked Airline Network for this August, £181/week for a minivan, all inc, with Dollar. This offer seems good for this year, but when I tried dates for next years holidays, the offer didn't come up.
Still, great for this year!

Hi AMF,

Just put in 14 days rental and it's £434 inc extra drivers & tank of petrol. We're actually going over the Christmas period so maybe that's why it's a little more expensive ( 10 - 26th Dec). Still cheaper by £50 though ;-)
