Any bakers out there? My sister needs to make some chocolate teacups. She says she has 2 molds which are the 1/2 of each of the cup and saucer, if that makes sense. Anyway, how do we get the 2 parts together so it ends up with one cup molded with one saucer?

thanks!

I'm no baker, but just a thought. What if you make the one half, let it harden and pop them out, then fill the tray for the 2nd half, and attach the 1st half while the chocolate is still melted. Then when it hardens, they will be attached? Something you could just try. I dont' know how well it would work. Or you could make both halves, and then use more melted chocolate to pipe on as glue and when it hardens it should hold. Try them both and see how it works out.

thanks for the suggestion. I am going to try to see what I can find on the net this evening when I get home from work.

I've never done that, but I think you make each side and then use a little melted chocolate to put the two sides together. It's like chocolate crazy glue. :D

he makes each half of the mold separately..lets them harden..the 'glues' them together with a little more chocolate

I was going to say the same thing. Make the 2 halves of the mold and then either use more melted chocolate to 'glue' them together, or use the warmth from your fingers to 'meld' them together.
