Chocolate Mousse Hunt

Is it possible to request a special desert at a restaurant? I only ask because my 9 year old loved the Chocolate Mousse at The California Grill on our last visit. Every time she sees it on a menu, gets it and then says “not as good as at Disney!” I have been hearing this for two years!! This trip we will be there on her birthday and all she keeps talking about is having the chocolate Mousse at The California Grill! Now I do not see it is not on the Menu? Is it possible to send an email or something to the California Grill to see if the still make it as a desert specal?

I dont know.. Normally the only specials are cakes or sugar, dairy, gluten free.

I know they have mousse almost at every food court and I know France and Norway has a really good one and foodquest in dq

The Glass Slipper dessert which can be special ordered at 1900 Park fare (as well as all Grand Floridian restaurants and I believe a different version at Cinderella's Royal Table) is a white chocolate Glass Slipper Shell filled with the most divine chocolate mousse topped with fresh raspberries. They will also personalize the plate with a special message. For $15 it is a bargain and the presentation is impressive.

As the PP mentions, the Cinderella slipper is a wonderful idea for a mousse-loving girl. And, luckily, the pastry chef at the Contemporary posted recently on the cake chatter here on the restaurant board that this dessert is now available there, not just at CRT and GF. Here is his actual quote, post 2209 on that thread:

The Contemporary can also make mini cakes and Cinderella slipper desserts!

A second vote for Boulangerie Patisserie in France. It's tucked in the back, past a fountain and Bistro De Paris. DW needs to get one every trip from there.

I can vouch for the delicious white chocolate Cinderella slipper with chocolate mousse as I surprised my adult daughter and her best friend with them last year for their birthdays We had them at the 1900 Park Fare and they were a huge hit
