I saw this mentioned in another thread. What is it like and what is served with it. At Grand Floridian Cafe they have a Chocolate Fondue with Orange Ganache and it's served with bananas, pineapple, strawberries and marshmallows. I was wondering if they are similar.

I'd like to know this also. Plus, does this restaurant take ADR's? We would love to try it in Aug. I'd love opinions of this restaurant as well.

momof2disprincesses, yes they do take ADRs. We are booked for August, and I'm curious about this dessert too. ???

Thanks for letting me know. I called and made an ADR last night. I could have sworn I read in a book somewhere that they did not take ADR's, so thanks for the info CamColt!!!!

I had the chocolate fondue this past January at Wolfgang Puck Cafe. First of all, the entire meal was wonderful, but this was probably my favorite dessert out of the entire trip!

If I remember correctly, it came with strawberries, pound cake, and brownies for those interested in a little chocolate overload. I can't remember the fourth item, but I'm pretty sure it was pineapple.

Anyway, I highly recommend this restaurant, the food was fabulous. I ALSO highly recommend the Starburst Martini...it's their house specialty drink.

Have a wonderful trip and eat the fondue! :)

Funny, but no one is answering the original question!!! :rotfl2: Anyway, we ate there years ago and then again last month. We both really liked the food and plan on going again in October. DH had the Macadamia Nut Crusted Chicken which was excellent and I had the Pumpkin Ravioli with chicken which I thought delicious. DH had a beer and I had the Wolfgang Puck Chardonnay which I also thought very good.

We shared the Granny Smith Apple Creme Brulee, which we both thought a little "heavy" for creme brulee. There's no "entertainment" for kids, but it has a great modern atmosphere. We ate there late at night and it was fun. But then we're in our early 50's and it doesn't take much. :rotfl2:

My dilemma for October is that I have 3 of our favorite restaurants for my sister and her friend to choose from and we have only two nights to fill when they will be with us. DH and I will get to do all 3 as we are staying longer, but the one thing I absolutely love at GFC is the fondue and it it's also good at WP then it might affect the decision. Ahhhh, the details we "Disney Planners" stew over!!! :teeth:

Everyone's tastes are different, and I always hesitate to say a place is "awesome" as I've been disappointed more than once by recommendations, but I would say that it's one of the restaurants "worth a try" to see if you like it.

How was that? It sounds wonderful.

Thanks, I guess we must have been posting about the same time. I anxious to try it now!!!

As for the Grand Floridian Cafe, well, MMMMMMMM, MMMMMMMMM, MMMMMMMM, that's about all I say as I'm eating it!!! LOL

We took my 9 y/o niece there in November and we BOTH were going "Mmmmmm, Mmmmmmmm, MMMMMMM"!!! BTW, they also have an excellent children's pizza. She thought it was the best meal she had and we ate at some some of the best restaurants at WDW.
