I remember reading a while ago that you can get chocolate covered strawberries or milk and cookies (maybe other things too??) sent to your DLR hotel. I did a search and did not find any details.

How much does this cost? How do you ste this up? Is it worth it? We will be celebrating both our anniversary and DH's b-day while there. . .

They rang in price from $15-$22. We often just give VP a budget to work with and havee them surprise us with treats. We usually ask for chocolate chip cookies and milk for one night as that is our ds's favorite.

In addition to cookies & milk, you can also order a cheese/cracker/fruit tray to be delivered.

Thanks. We got the idea from another poster awhile back and have never been dissapointed with Vacation Planning. It made leaving the park for the day less sad as we would always look forward to what Mickey & his pals left us in our room.

I would love to do this for our 10th anniversary trip, something as simple as chocolate strawberries or a nice bottle of our favourite Californian wine (which we can't get in the UK) after a day in the park would be wonderful!! Did you just tell them your likes and dislikes and leave it up to them to surprise you? What a wonderful idea!!

The Mickey Cookies & Milk or Mickey Crispies & Milk are just about $26 dollars - that's 2 huge crispies or 2 huge cookies, easily shared and you'll have leftovers for the next night unless you are junk food addicts like us who avoid anything else in the room and resort to those at 2am (lol..) Also has 2 either glasses or containers of milk (you can get chocolate or whole milk too if you ask for it.)

VP is happy to do surprises for you and they'll work with you setting an amount. They are fantastic. I've worked with both Ray and Valerie there and trust them completely.

VP only charged us for what they sent. For a 4 night stay we usually give them a budget of $120 for snacks (with baskets,the budget's higher). The first time we used them, we gave them free reign to surprise us noting that dh has a cashew allergy. The followng times after that we asked them for specific items for certain days and that they could surprise us with the following days. They've never gone over budget and have often stayed tens of dollars below budget. I'm sure if you ask VP to work with you in getting your favorite California wine and chocolate strawberries that it wouldn't be a problem.

Yea - which is exactly why I wanted to find out. I figure for $26 I can get him some other type of surprise. . . by it before hand and give it to him there. You can absolutely do it more cheaply - even getting the cookies and milk downstairs at the bar. We do it with room service and have it delivered and waiting as part of the "magic" surprise left for our daughter. You could sneak it in yourself though too.

We did this at the Grand Californian. I had VP set it up to surprise my husband and it was in the room waiting for us in the evening. It is ordered through room service though.
