Chlorine content on water rides...

This is going to sound like a strange question, but does anyone remember if on rides like Splash Mtn or Kali if the water seemed heavily chlorinated to you? How about the interactive fountains? I am mildly allergic to chlorine, it causes a bad reaction with my asthma after awhile. I can swim in a chlorinated pool for about 20 minutes before it starts acting up, but I have to be sure to shower right after. I am afraid of getting soaked on one of these rides and having to head back to the resort right away to change and shower because of the chlorine.... Any tips would be appreciated! Thanks in advance

I didn't notice much of a smell. Plus , since your log is moving (hehe) you get a nice fresh air scent. Also, if you can handle 20 mins in the pool, you'll be fine. You might get a little splash back in your face during the fall. Better be turning around... If only you could!

I'm not sure about the chlorine content but you could wear a poncho. Just a thought! Have a great trip!

I don't ever remember smelling chlorine on either of the rides. That isn't to say that there is none in the water, but it's not significant enough to even be able to smell it so I think you should be fine.Just in case, if I were you, I would wear a poncho on Kali - sometimes you only get a little wet, and sometimes you get soaked. This year we went on Splash Mtn. first thing in the morning four times in a row and we didn't get very wet even sitting up front.

Ive never really smelllt it, even in the pools, perhaps they use Borine? ( spelling) Im sure if you asked on Main street at town hall they would let you know. Kali weve always got soaked so a ponchoI would totaly suggest.

I'm not positive, but I think I remember that they use bromine at Disney instead of chlorine.

I smelled chlorine on Splash on Tuesday. Dad and I got so wet, we even commented that we were glad the water was chlorinated because it was EVERYWHERE.

Thanks for all your responses! I will definitely take the poncho tip for Kali, and if I still worry i will check with cast members about the Bromine (sp?)
:thanks:

Its also possible that they use salt water chlorinators. If so you shouldn't have any problems. Check with Disney ahead of time.
